At the bottom of the abyss.
Groaning could be heard. Travis finally opened his eyes after passing out for two days, greeted by a blanket of impenetrable darkness that enveloped him.
He closed his eyes again, savoring the thought of his survival. That was the first thought that crossed his mind.
As he tried to clench his fingers, they dug into fur; Realizing he was lying on top of the wolf, which likely cushioned his fall;
He tried sensing his body, thinking how battered he would be, but shockingly there were only sparse injuries, and they were also in the process of healing; realizing this was likely due to the Divine Eros Faerie's passive effect, he sighed;
That was when he heard the drone of an insect buzzing past, followed by another; His body felt like something that had been feasted on by insects.
A thought suddenly pops up in his mind: Am I being feasted on along with the dead wolf?
He sat upright in a bolt and looked around. It was still dark, so he activated his heavenly eyes.
He saw a barren plain filled with all sorts of wild grass and insects buzzing here and there.
The large body of the wolf lay in the midst of it all. He quickly chased them away.
This is my prize.
Why are you scavenging it before me? They refused to leave and even began to attack him back.
Fuck, you all are bold for mere insects. I am going to show you why I am Daddy.
Travis attempted to start a fire with his hands, but the flames flickered briefly before extinguishing, leaving him in frustration.
Damn, I have no skills in the fire element; I am putting all my elemental attributes to shame,"
Travis said as he left the wolf's corpse behind, he traveled for a long distance, but still, all was barren with little to no creatures at all.
I refused to believe there was no end to this hadal zone; there must be exits to this mysterious place.
He then had a thought, maybe I can locate the exit with my Divine Eros Faerie.
He immediately released his spirit, only to sense a strong calling; he felt as if he didn't answer the calling, he would be losing out on a big fortune. This was the first time he felt this way.
He immediately headed towards the direction the feeling was coming from.
He finally arrived at what looked like the end of the hadal zone.
What he saw there stunned him; there was a magnificent palace that looked like a tower.
He was shocked and wondering how such a beautiful palace ended up there.
This palace looked like an artifact. It was made of an unknown material; it was engraved with runes and inscriptions, and it had the carvings of divine beasts imprinted on it.
The golden palace boasted five floors, with each level shrouded in mystery.
While the lowest floor featured a tightly closed door, the rest of the floors were sealed shut, devoid of windows or alternative entrances.
As Travis circled the palace, an unsettling feeling crept over him, solidifying his belief that this magnificent structure was of unearthly origins.
He wanted to enter the palace but discovered it was impossible. He tried searching for a pinhole or key to open the palace but found nothing.
He tried using force to push the door open, but it rebounded back.
Travis reluctantly conceded, acknowledging the palace's dominance, a sense of defeat washing over him.
He was unwilling to give up and continued to try different means. Then he tried using his ascension spirit to connect with the door, and after a few tries, there was finally a reaction.
After a few more tries, the door finally opened, seemingly accepting his potential.
Travis had been standing in a hall for a while.
He had no idea what the inside looked like, but what he saw before him wasn't even close to what he expected.
The first floor of the palace looked like a study. A human's study.
It was a long hall with flooring made of golden tiles and ceiling decorations screaming of opulence.
The walls were lined with bookshelves, and in the middle of the room stood a long desk.
Being cautious, Travis spread his heavenly senses to check for any signs of life.
Confirming that he was alone, he relaxed. He looked around at the long rows of bookshelves around him, only for his eyes to pause on the long desk in front of him.
Travis walked up to the desk to discover only a single book was placed on top of it.
He picked up the book and opened it.
Congratulations no matter who you are.
It seems that you have been lucky to stumble into this abode of mine.
Well, I doubt luck had anything to do with it if you were in this abyss.
My name would have long been forgotten, but I don't want you to forget it. My name is LIONHEART.
Since you've stumbled upon this palace and are able to get in, there's no doubt you are a promising dual cultivator as well.
I've spent many years searching for those I could pass my legacy on to; however, I was never able to find people fitting my qualifications, so I left it to the heavens.
I have left many such palaces in hidden and dangerous zones all over the universe so that only those favored by the heavens and having ties to this palace's destiny would be able to locate it.
Inside this palace, I have left my insights into dual cultivation and many of my other iconic abilities, a few resources that would aid your path forward, and information regarding everything of importance in the universe.
Are you truly afraid of finding your way out of this abyss?
You don't have to worry about that since I have set up a teleportation array.
You just need to let the palace acknowledge you as its master. Okay,
Now, if I am still alive, I sincerely hope you can come to find me.
However, if I am not, let my legacy shine once more, and make sure my name is never lost in the annals of history.
Empresses, imperial consorts, princesses, daughters of powerful families—all the beauties of the world—ensure they never slip through your grasp.
