Chapter 2 - The Ridiculous Introduction

After last night finally descending to earth, Aleya could not sleep. She hadn't been able to adapt overnight. Looked like she needed a few days to be able to enjoy the things on earth.

Aleya even still used her wings to fly inside her earth house. Even though Gabriel and Ivoria had told her as a form of adaptation to walking on legs, not with wings.

But whatever Aleya's power, she seemed to make things easier. She said that she could not use her wings outside the house, but inside the house, she had to use them if she was too lazy to walk.

Besides she was smart in terms of capturing learning, she was also one of the angels who were quite stubborn. Only Gabriel could balance her when compared to Ivoria. But Aleya was very afraid of The Father, the King of The Heaven.

"Aleya, your schedule is to stroll through the company of that guy named Leo," Ivoria informed.

"Okay. I understand. But by the way, Ivoria, Leo is a CEO, but why does he become such a lonely man after doing his routine? I mean, why must it be me? And isn't the CEO having many friends?" asked Aleya curiously.

"He is a human, he has flaws in every advantage. Well, I will correct ... not only humans but all of us. And your existence is to be his friend. Remember, just friends. No more than that. And why must be you or why he is a lonely man, you have to find out for yourself," explained Ivoria at the same time, affirming her sentence.

Aleya just nodded her head. She also began to choose appropriate clothes for her to wear like humans in general.

And Aleya's choice was an ivory white dress that reached to the knee. She changed her clothes and showed her appearance to Ivoria.

"How do I look, Ivoria?"

"Wear your cardigan and your sling bag," added Ivoria.

Her green eyes immediately grabbed a colored cardigan that matched her dress and grabbed her sling bag.

Suddenly her face contorted. "This is weird. Why should I wear a sling bag if I don't have anything to put in it?" asked Aleya.

As if remembering something, Ivoria then reached for something in the storage box. She took out a flat object that Aleya knew was a cell phone. Then the wallet contained the cards and some money. Everything Ivoria put in Aleya's bag.

"Well, done! Everything you need is there. You know how to use it, right?" Ivoria asked.

Aleya swallowed. She shook her head but looked doubtful. "I-I didn't forget. B-but... it feels like a foreigner to use all that. Aren't those things that you put in is the devil's favorite?"

"As long as you use them properly, it's fine. The Father ordered us all to equip you all with those things."

"Oh, then, every cell phone already has the names of your contacts. The card pin is also available in your cellphone notes. So, study it again," explained Ivy.

"Thank you, Ivory."

"You're welcome. Give me your daily report in the morning. Good luck for today, Aleya!"

Ivoria left her in her room. She was still staring at her bag. Then slowly her hand began to touch the flat object.

She started looking at her phone and opened it as she remembered. She even remembered her family. She even thought about contacting her family with her cellphone.

But Aleya immediately shook her head. She plugged in her cell phone and started to get ready to leave.

She looked at her appearance in the mirror and then she realized how radiant she was. But she didn't mind if Ivoria didn't comment on it.

After praying together, Aleya started walking out of the house. Her two feet, which had gone so far, still felt weird to her.

She walked as if she had just learned.

She didn't even think that her earth house was quite close to the location of Leo's company.

Aleya looked at the tall building. She was standing in the middle of the stairs which looked quite a lot.

Leo, the man who became Aleya's duty from the Kingdom of Heaven, came out with some of his guards. Aleya was still not aware of Leo's appearance. And the presence of Aleya who was in the middle of the front of his company as well as the light from Aleya who looked different caught Leo's attention.

"Hello, Miss?" said Leo.

But Aleya was still silent, lost in thought.

Leo then waved his hand in front of Aleya's face with a smile that was amused by what he saw.

"Oh my God!" cried Aleya, jerking backward.

Aleya immediately bowed respectfully quite nervously, causing Leo to raise an eyebrow.

"Sorry if I startled you. But, what are you doing here?" Leo asked sympathetically.

She scratched her head with an embarrassed grin. She knew that the man in front of her was Leo, the CEO of the Mango cell phone.

"I'm just walking around," replied Aleya curtly.

"In a morning like this?" Leo asked in disbelief. He looked back at Aleya's appearance from bottom to top.

Feeling noticed, Aleya immediately crossed her arms in front of her body. Seen like that, it meant that Leo had added to his sin because of her.

"Don't add to your sin!" Aleya advised.

Again Leo looked surprised by Aleya's words. He even looked at his two guards, as if feeling ridiculous.

"Sorry, are you talking about my sin?" Leo asked politely.

Realizing her words might have sounded weird, she immediately covered her lips. She actually felt quite strange with yet one day on earth.

"Ah, forget it. I'm Aleya!" said Aleya introducing herself as she stretched out her hand for a handshake. "And I will be your friend," added Aleya confidently.

Leo seemed not to understand his morning which for him was quite strange. He was just about to have a meeting with his client outside the office when he met a strange girl.

"Come on, shake hands. You can't refuse someone who knows you and wants to be your friend," Aleya added.

Slowly and with a bit of hesitation, Leo finally reached out her hand and returned it. "I'm Leo. And I'd love it if you do want to be my friend."

I know this chapter is kinda as ridiculous as the title. but that's Aleya! you will know her character and the others one by one if you keep reading this book.
