Trading Pills For Treasure

The battlefield was quickly cleaned up once Du Ze had run away. Many of the half-bloods were killed and the remaining ones captured. The captured women were freed and Sheng Tian led the humans back to the plains and set up a large camp there with some simple houses.

The secret realm is quite small and pretty much all the treasures have been taken already. Xiao Hua and Bing Xue began regulating trading of resources and keeping everyone under control.

Sheng Tian spread his soul around and saw a myriad of precious treasures being taken out, some of which he needed for his collection of rare herbs.

He used his soul and sent everyone a message "I will be concocting peak grade ninth rank pills for rare treasures at noon"

And with that he left and sat back down in meditation. In just a few minutes however, Xiao Hua and Bing Xue paid him a visit, knocking loudly on his door.

"Come in"

Xiao Hua unceremoniously opened the door and barged in, followed by Bing Xue.

"Hey, are you really an alchemist?"

Sheng Tian gave her a confident smile "Of course, when have I ever lied"

Xiao Hua gave him an unamused look "You never told us that nor did you tell us about your monstrous strength. Heck, you showed up and took over, directly crushing the geniuses of another race and now you say you can concoct high grade ninth rank pills"

"Well since I never told you it means I never lied. Plus, I merely rallied the human race because they are in incompetent hands"

"Hey! We did our best there!"

"Well it surely wasn't enough"

"In truth, I could have directly slaughtered the entire Xuan Beast Alliance by myself without a sweat. The only reason I didn't was for this. When can anyone find the chance to quickly obtain large quantities of treasures at once?"

The two women were shaken by his domineering statement. Either he was too arrogant or really confident of his strength and from what they saw it seems that he is more than capable of doing what he said.

Instantly, dozens of treasures, mainly ice attributed, appeared on the floor. Both Xiao Hua and Sheng Tian were surprised to see Bing Xue take the initiative.

"Tell me what pills you can concoct"

He smiled and sent her a jade slip containing the information of hundreds of pills and their effects. He made sure to highlight the ones that were beneficial to ice cultivators as well as the soul.

She was silent for a moment, partially due to shock at the amount of pills there were. Some she had never even heard of and had miraculous effects. Even the pills that she knows of were at least thirty percent more effective than the ones on the market.

She finally opened her eyes "I want the Unfettered Yin Ice Pill, the Soul Sublimating Yin Pill, and the Ice Core Molting Pill"

Sheng Tian's expression changed when he heard the last pill she wanted. Rank nine Ice Core Molting Pill, allows the consumer to go through a process similar to the molting of a snake or dragon. Upon success of doing so, the consumer's body becomes tuned to the ice attribute and strengthens it to a terrifying degree that even Sheng Tian would be wary of.

It's not that he didn't want to give her the pill but that the side effects are way too harsh. She would experience harsh colds and let every cell in her body freeze and then burn it with an even more terrifying flame. The slightest mistake can kill her instantly, destroying both body and soul, breaking her reincarnation cycle.

She seemed to have read his expression and said "Don't worry, I'll ask Xiao Hua to help me with this"

Xiao Hua had a confused expression on her face as she had no idea what the two of them were talking about.

Sheng Tian sighed and gave in "Fine" and pointed at three different herbs and a stone "I'll take those treasures then"

She nodded and Sheng Tian put them in his spatial ring and took out his cauldron. The women were about to step out to not disturb him when he spoke "You two can stay. Just stand in a corner somewhere"

Xiao Hua voiced her concerns "I heard alchemists need a sealed off area with formations in place to concoct pills. Are you sure you can do that in a makeshift cabin with two ladies accompanying you?"

Not bothering to answer, he called out the Primordial Chaos Dragon Flame and all the materials needed for all three pills. After robbing numerous geniuses, Sheng Tian now had multiple sets of almost every herb in the Mortal Realms. Wu Di had told him to keep at least one of every herb as he would show him something once he ascended.

Xiao Hua almost screamed at him when they saw him throw every single herb inside one cauldron. Every single herb for three different pills, unprocessed with some having conflicting elements, were thrown in a single cauldron meant for concocting one pill at a time.

Even Bing Xue's face hardened slightly but managed to compose herself. Nothing she saw about Sheng Tian was normal in any way. Even the flame he was using was countless times more terrifying than Xiao Hua's flames and it seems like he had no trouble controlling it.

Under Sheng Tian's careful hands, the Primordial Chaos Dragon Flame split into three nets and dove into the cauldron. His control was absolutely monstrous as the herbs weren't being melted even when the flame was touching the herbs.

Then, he suddenly increased the temperature to the maximum while making sure the cauldron didn't melt. He had arranged the herbs in a certain order so that it maximized the effects of the herbs and canceled out any turbulence that may be created from conflicting elements.

Within one hour, Sheng Tian began forming the pills. Medical fragrance burst out of the cauldron and Sheng Tian opened the lid for three pills to float out into separate containers.

Xiao Hua very quickly took out her treasures and also picked out three different pills.

An hour later, the women walked out of his house with slight smiles on their faces, causing a few rumors to spread quickly.
