The Second Floor

Gu Erin found himself before the giant spire like structure that served as the Temple of the Heavens yet again. This time however, instead of the slight movement of people going in and out of the spire. It was instead replaced by a constant flow of cultivators. It seemed the knowledge of the Temples purpose had spread amongst the common cultivators of Earth.

He was flanked by about thirty of his most promising camp elites, whom had easily shined in the First Event. There were also those whom had caught Gu Erin's eye, by either their talent or comprehension of cultivation. All in all, this group was Gu Erin's main foundation for his sect going forward.

Gu Erin made his way through the crowd; he enjoyed the fact that followers moved the crowd out of his path. He tried not to let this feeling of power get to his head. He only justified this fact that they needed to show their face in order to keep their dignity. If news spread that a sect master let common cultivators block his way, he would be ruthlessly mocked by the natives.

This group of his was spearheaded by Nu Bin and Lee Shio Ming, followed shortly after by Lee Shio Ming's grandson, Lee Tao the bald monk. Kei Sung and Kei Jiahao followed along with ten or so Blood Jackets, which included James and Lucy. None of his own family followed him, as he had given his father the brunt of the task of selling all of the raw beast material.

The only one remotely related to Gu Erin's family was Gu Ming Yao's friend Ling Min, whom had shown great interest and some basic comprehension of formations. Having someone who is proficient in formations, is far more valuable than any alchemist or blacksmith. Those who were capable of comprehending higher grade formations were incredibly rare.

Gu Erin got more than a few irritated glances as they entered the Temple of the Heavens. There was a line before each and every counter. Some tried to cut the line, but the strong who held the closest spots were not willing to let them go. Leading to more than one altercation. However, none dared truly fight. Gu Erin assumed everyone learned their lesson on that front.

After all, being struck by a small bolt of lightning was not pleasant for anyone.

Gu Erin did not bother with the first level right now, instead he looked to the wall that he once been escorted through. Now that the First Event had past, it was no longer a wall. Instead, a staircase spiraled up to the second floor. Gu Erin went towards its direction, much to his group's confusion, however, they had long learned not to question his actions. As they would either be ignored or reprimanded for wasting time.

Once everyone reached the second floor there was more than one group up there. Including the group of children Gu Erin had sent out of the camp. Once this group saw them they ran over, one of the old ladies managing to drag Nu Bin off to the side to start her line of questioning. Gu Erin had to smile at the old lady, she was a cultivator, and she had potential, if only she had been younger, her lifespan wouldn't have limited her cultivation.

Still, it looked like the children were incredibly bored with whatever the old ladies were trying to entertain them with. However, Gu Erin had to pause at two extras within the small group, and he immediately frowned at their presence. He remembered the lady officer from the other day, she had a younger guy beside her, perhaps slightly younger than Gu Erin.

He would ignore them for now, they were not his problem, however, if they started to follow them back to the camp or to the counters he would have to break his silence. Thinking of which Gu Erin turned around the room, making sure nothing had changed.

He nodded to himself; nothing had changed. Three counters, all attended to by differently colored robed figures. Or should he say two counters and one alter. He would have to spread a rumor about the operation of the alter, it would get rid of more of the competition. However, Gu Erin would wait till they drained the town's population dry of talent beforehand.

Gu Erin went to the counter, attended to by the silver robed figure, just known as 'Sect' in his past life. Though that name was pretty unused, as most didn't interact with him. Gu Erin approached the robed figure calmly, waiting for the small groups trying to get as much information out of the new floor's denizens as possible.

Gu Erin waited for them to leave, and had those following him make a small circle around him, the last thing he needed was someone listening in. Thus, all of them were talking amongst themselves, about random things. Mostly about cultivation. Although this slightly annoyed Gu Erin, because they might let something slip, yet it was a sacrifice he was willing to make.

Gu Erin put forward the Sect Creation Order, which took the form of a black jade token, the silver robed figure swept his hand over the token and it disappeared.

The figure nodded. "This is a valid token, please select a location for your sect, it can only be within the local kingdom. We advise you to stay within the region or traveling to your new location might prove troublesome."

Gu Erin listened attentively, this was all new information, as he had never formed or joined a sect in his past life. Gu Erin found the mountain he was looking for on the hologram like map that appeared out of thin air. The circle shifted, and Gu Erin noticed a group taking interest. So, he quickly finalized the location. Thankfully the Blood Jackets were around, as they quickly surrounded the interlopers, making it impossible for them to see or hear anything.

Gu Erin then brought out all four Sect Building Tokens, of which the robed figure casually swept them up again.

The robed figure spoke up. "You have yet to name your sect, would you still like to proceed to build new structures?"

Gu Erin paused, this had not crossed his mind yet, and Gu Erin was still unsure what to name this sect. However, thinking of his new innate talents Gu Erin quickly came up with a name. "The sect's name will be Chaos Sect."

Gu Erin had to hold back his shock, when he saw the figure visibly flinch, however he had to ask himself if it was all an illusion, because in the next second the figure acted like nothing happened. The figure nodded before it started to list off an entire lecture's worth of building names.

Gu Erin listened closely, all the while ignoring the escalating confrontation behind him, trusting that the higher-level cultivators within his group can hold back the nosy cultivators. Gu Erin was slightly amazed at the list of buildings the silver robed figure was spouting. If he had these many resources in his past life he may have been able to reach a much higher realm.

However, there were buildings that caught his attention, primarily the Earth Grade buildings. That was of course natural, however he was particularly torn between three options. One was the Comprehension Pagoda, the Bone Inscription Tower, or the Dao Bell. Gu Erin was honestly very stuck on these three options.

From what he understood, the Comprehension Pagoda, was a straight forward building that would allow one's mind to clear and allow for a better mindset and state of enlightenment to help understand cultivation and martial techniques. This was what Gu Erin was leaning towards, as it would benefit everyone in his group, including himself.

Then there was the Bone Inscription Tower, Gu Erin was unsure of what this building's function was, but his intuition told him that it was useful for his upcoming Realm. This was one thing that made Gu Erin falter, he wanted to increase his own strength the most, and this seemed to be a good boon, mainly for him and the elites.

Then there was the Dao Bell, and Gu Erin knew all too well about its functions. Because, he had heard of its effects in his past life. It could only be rung once a week. But, its affects were something Gu Erin couldn't ignore. Once it was rung it would send out a wave of dao charms to be cultivated and comprehended. This could in turn be refined into any weapon dao, law, or concept. This would be a long-term investment, compared to the other two buildings.

In the end however, Gu Erin gritted his teeth and chose the Bone Inscription Tower. This in his mind was the best option. Primarily because, there were two buildings similar in the Mortal Grade options that could replace those two to a lesser extent.

The Mortal Grade Buildings chose in the end were, Dao Hall, Underground Quarters, and Cultivation Pagoda. Gu Erin wished to hear the prices for more buildings, but when he heard that regular Mortal Grade building orders cost more than 150 low grade spirit stones each he stopped there.

They would have to increase their liquid funds greatly in order to start expanding the opportunities of the newly created Chaos Sect.
