The Nine-tailed Fox is a swindler

Wu Yun is paralyzed by the vivid red arterial spray that shoots out of Hui De's neck. It streams down his chest in rivulets until he lets out one last agonized gasp and falls forward on his front.

Moments later, his body crumbles into dust, until nothing remains but the bloodstains on the cave floor.

"Someone had to pay, someone had to..." Gao Ming mutters to herself, staring at the bloodied dagger in her hands.

Her words bring Wu Yun out of his stupor. "He saved your life. You're only alive because he wanted you to live."

She doesn't seem fully aware of his presence there. There's only pain and hatred in her young face.

But Wu Yun has been dealing with some pain of his own.

He stares Gao Ming in the eyes, and says, bidding his words to act upon her: "Bring that dagger to your own neck."
