Who was prey? Adriana thought, her right hand gripping the sword firmly, feeling the hilt on her bruised palms.

For some reason, she wasn't content waiting for someone to initiate the first attack. Ever since Abaddon had healed her back to life, the extra bout of adrenaline in her was compelling her not to remain idle and to dive into the battle.

She knew it was reckless and all, but she did it anyway.

With the sword hilt held in both hands, she lunged for Anlai with her sword raised head high and the blade directed at Anlai. She just had to cut him down, and it will all be over. It couldn't be that hard... right?

Abaddon watched as the girl threw herself at her foe with not so much of a care. It was wrong of him to feed her an energy ball, but she was probably on the verge of death. Probably?
