Chapter 12

The house rang with laughter and shrieks of discovery. After a while, Peter’s mom dozed off, perfectly comfortable with a pile of linens and old shoe boxes hiding her. Peter let go of her and crept out.

He needed the bathroom, so he sneaked down the hallway and went in. Everything was very satisfactory until a hand found his butt and squeezed. He screamed and jumped; whoever had grabbed him also screamed and bolted. His heart was pounding, but he was trying to laugh at the same time. He tucked himself in and decided to hide in the tub while he was here. When he reached his hand in, however, he touched someone who screamed, and so did he. Then he recognized the snicker that followed, which was a nice change from all the screaming. It was Ned. So Peter climbed in beside him.

“You sure scared me,” Peter said.

“Not me,” said Ned. “Did you have a nice piss?”

“Someone grabbed my ass. Was that you?”
