Chapter 6

The sun completely took its rest as darkness now have completely envelope the land. Above the massive sky, little stars started to appear while the moon shyly hides behind the clouds. Cold winds runs through the village where men now walking out of the Masjid. It is indeed a rare and astonishing sight that the two colliding clans had shared the same room and became one in glorifying their Lord.

The last of men who came out from the masjid are in silence as they walk to the path where a lot of people are flocking.

"Say, what had occurred earlier that made us share a room with those Dimacangas? How did we end up praying beside them?" Still in confusion, Ismail, the youngest of the brothers, asked.

"It's quite a story to behold, but Ama and Datu of Dimacangas are now about to discuss how to find Zeina." Replied the third son Tayb.

"By the way, where have you been? Why are you not with us in the field earlier? Rawan was not there also." He added. They soon reach the crowd.

"We hunted for treasures." Answered Rawan grinning as he crossed his arms. Tayb looked at him in confusion.

"What do you mean?" he can't help but ask but Rawan's smile just got wider. Soon enough they reached the hut where many of their men flocked. The men immediately made way for them as soon as they saw the brothers are coming.

"There they are, Rasheed is also with Ama (father)." Whispered Ismail to his older brothers. The three decided to stay outside as the men inside are about to start the talk.

Rawan roomed his sight around the big hut who was said to be the home of Dimacanga's leader Datu Taliq who sat in a carpet across Datu Kahar. Beside his father sat their oldest brother Rasheed who has his eyes fixed on the carpet. Across him is a man he is guessing as the son of Datu Taliq.

As he roamed further, he noticed a familiar face sitting among the group of women who are behind Datu Taliq. Alas! The amusing girl from earlier. His lips drew a smile.

"We are here to discuss the matter with regards to the daughter of Datu Kahar." The voice of man standing at the center of the audience echoed across and outside the big hut. He is known to be Said, the speaker of the Dimacangas and is also known as the one of the elders of the tribe.

"It seems that her precious child have gone missing only to find one of her prints here." He continues.

A loud gasp was heard from the group of women sitting in the far corner of the audience behind Datu Taliq.

"It is of great mystery as to why the shawl of the great Datu have been found in one of the homes of our tribe— the home of Jamil! Who, based on the investigation,..." he paused and looked intently in the eyes of Datu Taliq before continuing, "had gone missing."
