Rumors All Around

The largest of all the hospitals of Berge and Cambia's third most well-known hospital has its gate opened and lets a swift moving car to enter emergently. Mr. Maxwell swiftly steps out of his car and calls attendants who carry a stretcher with themselves upon his command. He throws his coat in his car and assists Allen to help Robin lie down on the stretcher which soon carries Robin to the emergency ward along with nurses and doctors. After the passage of a few minutes, a doctor approaches and tells Mr. Maxwell that she urgently needs blood donation as most of her blood has been shed away. Mr. Maxwell seems worried for her and manages all the requirements at his best and soon blood has been donated to her. Subsequently, he sits on the nearby chair exhibiting worried expressions whereas Allen keeps standing near him. His phone rings and he walks out of the chamber to receive the call. After a few hours have passed, an attendant approaches and tells them they are allowed to meet her.

Mr. Maxwell, when, enters the ward he observes her swollen eyes and faint face, then asks with a slight, pleasant smirk,

"How are you feeling, dear?"

Being unable to speak, Robin gives a brief nod as if she wants to speak yes. Mr. Maxwell walks closer to her and pats her forehead with love and compassion.

Robin gathers strength and speaks with a deadly faint voice, "How did you reach the stadium? How did you know I was there?"

Mr. Maxwell takes a deep sigh then speaks unwantedly, "I sent Allen behind you because I was worried about the suitcase."

Robin feels embarrassed and closes her eyes while seeming reluctant to speak sorry but Mr. Maxwell, doesn't let her speak by adding, "You are too young to make such decisions yourself. It's okay! It was not your fault! The better point is that the suitcase and you are safe!"

She closes her eyes once again letting the tears which were gathered within her eyes flow away while saying,

"But he killed my world! Me and my suitcase are useless without him! The most astounding fact is that Ritcher, my own orphan cousin, was also involved with them. I didn't know even though he spent a few days with us at our home."

"Stop memorizing the past and despairing yourself. Have some rest and get well soon!" Mr. Maxwell speaks while brushing her hairs with his fingers.

She has been admitted to the hospital for two more days whereas Allen and Mr. Maxwell keeps staying with her instantaneously, likewise Allen sometimes has to go to the office for solving certain official issues so Mr. Maxwell keeps staying with her and sometimes Mr. Maxwell has to go to the police station so Allen stays with her.

As soon as the sun sets down bringing up the evening of the second day after she has been admitted in the hospital, sitting closer to Robin, Mr. Maxwell addresses Robin while holding the glass of milk shake for her, who keeps taking short sips instantaneously while sitting over her bunk with the support provided with her pillow,

"Robin, my dear! Your condition has now been better! Soon you will be discharged from this hospital. Ah! The conditions now are all in front of you, nothing is disclosed. The card of your life has entirely been flipped which led me into worries for the whole round the clock since that night and now I would like to let you know the plan I have decided to pursue. Today we are going back to Wenn by train. There, you will be supposed to pack all of your stuff and accessories you would like to keep with yourself and then you will come back to Berge with me whereas Allen will stay here and will book the seats for us in the airplane with the assist of company for our neighbor country, Xyshania because we will leave Cambia forever. The head department of my business is there."

"I will ask the administrative departments and the business holders for my transfer over there as soon as possible and they will also grant me a room in a hotel for a temporary duration. Aslo, you already know that I don't have kids. My wife will be very happy to see you because she was really inspired by your loving nature. I hope you will live very happily and peacefully with us. By the way, your home has already been named as your property so we don't need to worry about that as you can use that for rent."

She keeps listening to him with deep concentration until he is done. After letting a few minutes pass speechlessly, she tries to say: "Uncle Max! But…"

"What but? There is nothing you have here in Berge or even in the whole Cambia and I don't want you to live here anymore." Mr. Maxwell's accent drifts with a slight anger.

"But Uncle Max! How can we let go of my dad's case? How can we leave the murderers? I am still feeling like something is missing!"

"Robin! Do you really think that I will let everything go smoothly? I have done everything which is considered to be done and yes! Something is missing but … forever!" Allen stares at Uncle Maxwell as if he doesn't want him to speak harshly with sweet, innocent Robin who is speaking with mild anger as if he is suppressing a lot of anger and despondency within himself.

"But what about Heart…" She tries once again to speak in the language of her heart!

"Shshshsh! Keep quiet!" Mr. Maxwell doesn't let her speak his name even, while placing his finger over his tightened lips.

Allen, who is still listening quietly, suddenly tries to explain Robin with a soft accent, "Robin! I have already told you that he left you when you were injured and needed his help. He ran away after sitting in his car, instead of helping you. It was me who held you up and provided support to walk to the car and Mr. Maxwell assisted at his best!"

"What? No! That's impossible! I remember it was he who pulled me up! However, the strength I experienced could only be possessed by him!" She shouted with mild anger while exhibiting irritation for Allen.

"Allen is right. Perhaps, he would have thought that the police would arrest him." Adds Mr.Maxwell, supporting Allen's statement.

"He is not a coward! Although, he is as strong and brave as a Tiger!" She replies emotionally while staring at Allen.

Mr. Maxwell briskly stands up and bursts into a shouts revealing his suppressed anger and his point of despondency, "Don't forget that he killed your father!"

Robin becomes absolutely quiet and as stationary as a statue as if all her emotions are swiped away with a short but heart-wrenching statement. Mr. Maxwell sits back with a deep sigh and tries to speak in a very low, soft tone while brushing her curled locks over her forehead with his hand.

"Look, Robin! Believe me! I loved your father a lot. I don't want to see you in the same condition anymore. We have to move forward. After all, I really want your happiness back and for that I will try my best and will do everything possible."

"Happiness? Uncle Max! My life has been ruined! I can't live without my dad anymore! And … Whatever you are doing for me is already the best you can do!"

"Hey, daughter! Never speak like that. You even survived after your mother left you, even when that ruthless mafia guy betrayed you and … now! Huh! You are a brave girl, Robin! Everything will be fine! Just don't depress yourself!"

He stands up firmly and turns his eyes at Allen then speaks decisively while caressing her head.

"We are going back to Wenn!"

Robin reacts by giving a brief nod while swiping her tears with her hand.

Allen Immediately retorts, "I have booked the seats in a train. You have to go to the station in the next half an hour."

After an entire circle of the clock, Robin gets discharged and they leave the hospital and depart for their way to the railway station by a car being driven by Allen.

"When will her plaster get off, Sir?" Asks Allen while addressing Mr. Maxwell.

Robin seems mused as if she doesn't hear his question, "Hmm?"

"How much time will it take to remove your plaster? I asked." He repeats.

"I think, after a month!" She briefly replies.

"Yeah! At Least after a month." Adds Mr. Maxwell.

"It is fortunate that your bone has not been affected much! It just got a minor crack! Isn't it great!" He retorts.

Robin ignores and doesn't react by any thing, turning her eyes away from him and staring through the window. They soon reach the railway station where their train has already been approached and waiting for them, Mr. Maxwell and Robin leave Berge and head their way back to Wenn by the train whereas Allen goes back in his car. As soon as she settles herself over her seat and the train whistle roars up the entire railway station, she inhales a deep breath and exhales out all her memories and warmth of her emotions that she got a few days back with her HERO whom she found as her VILLAIN actually, yes, HEARTLESS!
