Who needs Slaves?

As Liu Jia was confused, the doors opened and it was time to enter military base. It was huge, with tanks, planes, and other war machines. Soldiers were running around checking and preparing everything for possible invasion. It was controlled chaos which showed the proficiency of the officers.

General was not in the underground complex. He was in war room with his staff, and few government officials, who couldn't sit at desk being close to useless. They had no say in decisions, but could advice when it came to population control.

General knew, that they would be more annoying, then useful, but he agreed anyway. He only had few simple requests, like how many of them, and who could come. After all no one wants to spend last days of human race with someone they don't like.

Of course official documents said different story. Because at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you did, only what documents say you did.

When Liu Beng walked into the room, he saluted immediately. He may be consultant, but he was military non the less. General returned quick honors and directly ask for evidence. Song Wuyi did not waste time and directly passed chip to an officer, who displayed everything on the wall. after a minute of computing he confirmed sources and math behind conclusions and removed them from the screen leaving only necessary information in easy to read format.

Song Wuyi looked impressed, and officer returned a respectful nod. Their skill was impressive, but like most specialists only they could really evaluate ones work. They both passed high marks.

"So, what am I looking at?" General asked calmly, to start the proper discussion. He of course understood everything, what he was asking was the Liu Beng conclusions. On that point consultant did not delay and started pointing facts.

"General, we don't really face invasion. Everything will change, that's true, but I think we read situation wrongly."

"How so?" General was patient, but would not dare to waste time.

"Aliens do not need slaves, I'm sure that their technology is advanced enough, so we would be just getting in way of those machines. Therefore, they could just terramorph planet and be done with it. Instead, they send us a puzzle."

"As you said earlier, the solution is evacuation points, or to be more precise in this way of talk, the pick up points for further... part of the plan?"

"Yes, Sir. whatever it is it's a military operation and they need help. Fast. As I see it, there is war in space, and for some reason machines are not enough to bring them victory."

"Or this unknown threat is machine so advanced, that they have to dumb down technology to prevent hacking."

Liu Beng looked with impressed stare at the General. He in turn only snorted.

"I wasn't born yesterday, and I like science fiction... Or rather science..." He said looking at the high-resolution picture of alien ship. He was in deep thought. Everything seemed correct. Reasoning seemed flawless. There was just one thing nagging him at the back of the head. He just wasn't sure what it is.

"Damn it, we don't have time for this. I'm calling the president." After this, he walked out of the room.

Three hours later he walked back into the room. His face was dark. He didn't look beaten, just in deep thought.

"Liu Beng, you, and your staff are going straight to Beijing. I think, you'll be the one to first check if your speculations are correct."

Song Wuyi face turned ashen white. He was not ready for this. Why was he even here? Who let him in? Who took him in here, from his own house? As the panic grew, he felt his breath grew harder and harder. At some point he was smacked in the head. It was Liu Jia.

"Get a grip. My brother is correct, and soon we'll be the first to board allien ship. Whatever there is, we'll get it first." Her logic was flawless, but the smack to the head was what really brought him back to senses.

They were in luck as it turned out. politicians came in private jets, and one of them, was kind enough to borrow his on military orders. He, at least tried, made it look like a gesture of good will. Liu Beng in turn, at least tried, to be grateful and promised to return it in one piece. He was not a pilot, but he really had no idea what to say.

During flight many other countries came to the same conclusion, there were attempts to use nuclear weapons, but all of them failed. There were attempts to use conventional weapons, but those failed spectacularly. One commentator even publicly acknowledge aliens for not failing nuclear weapons spectacularly.

When Liu Beng got out on the airport, there were cars full of agents waiting for them.

After they were checked, it was straight to the hotel near the square. They each got separate room, for wich each of them was thankful.

When Liu Beng entered his, there was a surprise waiting for him.

"Good afternoon" said President.

/Hello everyone! I wanted to write this piece for a long time. Now I have finally time. This story will be updated weekly at least 5 chapters. I know there is no cultivation yet, but I like to build up characters first.

This is male lead, but it's not the only lead. I want to make this as fun, and touch quite a few fates, as possible. Everything is here for a reason. If there's not, there will be ;)
