The Proposal
Seraphina sat beside Nikolai in the chamber, facing Khalil, the djinn leader, and the watchful guards.
"Khalil" she addressed the djinn leader, her voice firm yet respectful "This was a secret mission and it was very daring."
Khalil's gaze, sharp and calculating, met hers. "Proceed, Seraphina. We're here to listen."
Taking a steady breath, Seraphina began her account.
"Our mission centered around Delphine, a mermaid with unique powers. When the tyrant seized power in Atlantis, her parents deemed her powers too potent for him to control. In order to protect her, they left her on Earth, where she was adopted into a human family. She grew up believing she was human, unaware of her true lineage."
Nikolai, seated beside her, nodded in agreement, reinforcing her narrative.
