Julian's atrocities

On his way to the chamber, Leon noticed his sisters walking from a different passageway.

"Brother Leon!" Alice was the first to hug her brother before a slightly uninterested Amie followed suit. Leon hugged the both of them tenderly, noticing his other sister's indifference but ignoring it. He was used to it by now.

"Someone seems a bit excited. Mind telling me what it is about?" Leon spoke to the sister he was very fond of.

"Oh well, it's nothing much. We had dancing lessons today and for the first time, I was able to swirl without any hitches," she said dreamily. "Maybe I can now stop lying low during special events. I'm a bit confident now and certain I wouldn't mess the dance up," she spoke with a smiling face while carefully glancing beside her brother at the young man standing there.

"I still suck at it though," Amie said grumpily, making him understand what the foul mood was about. One was never happy when the other did better at something and they didn't.

The silly things women had to worry about...

"I'm sure you'd both perform well at my coronation ceremony. No need to fret." he winked at the two and ruffled their hair, maintaining a collected expression. He had learned to stop siding with one over the other because it only caused a rift between the two.

As Leon spoke with his sister, Matthew who stood beside him with a stoic expression noticed a light cut on Princess Alice's lips. Not only that but her left cheek seemed a bit...swollen if he looked well.

His eye narrowed and a crease appeared between his brows. She had been slapped... hard.

"I'm sure you both have somewhere to head to. We'd leave you now." Alice told her brother before looking at Matthew who subtly frowned at her before the frown turned to a smirk when he saw her staring at him. She quickly averted her gaze. "Yes. We are quite busy. We will speak later." Leon told Alice.

"Bye." her words were short and curt before she scurried away with her sister.

Even though Leon seemed a bit too destabilized and didn't notice the slight bruise on his sister's lip, Matthew was not. As they walked when she left, Matthew seemed to be in deep thought with his eyebrows furrowed intensely, already telling where she got the bruise from.

His hands ball into fists when he guessed who would have done it and though Leon was too occupied for him to discuss with, he felt anger bob in his chest.

He was sure it had something to do with Julian. He had seen that bruise the night of the burial when he had been investigating and searching the royal chambers, though he didn't pay heed to it because he had been quite tensed. But when he saw it up close today, he began to feel especially disgusted at this betrothed of the princess.

Not to forget, he had also heard the detestable act Sir Julian had carried out this morning when the servants were sent to his quarters. The man extremely irritated him and he would make sure he made him pay for it...

He was brought back from his daze when he heard a shrill scream from the upper part of the corridors as he and Leon got closer to the library. The two looked up where they heard the noise before looking at each other in shock, wondering if they had been delusional but then they heard it again, this time. They didn't think as they turned back, alarmed and discreetly followed the noise only to be led to the library.

"Please! Please! Let go!..." they heard the terrified voice of a lady and the two somewhat had an idea what was happening. They looked around to see that no guard had currently been posted there because most of them went to camp. The person probably saw it as an opportunity.

Matthew was the one to open the door and enter first while still following the voice that had now lowered.

In all honesty, they had thought it was an elite lady getting attacked by a man who was most likely an elite as well.

Leon pulled out his dagger for safety as he trailed behind Matthew who was approaching the scene.

"Julian..." Matthew's voice sounded like a whisper when he spoke as he halted. He saw Julian with a girl who seemed to be unwilling as he kept hitting her head against the wall.

Realization hit him and he looked over at the table that had a vase there.

He would not waste this opportunity.

Not thinking anymore as he let his anger directed towards this elite win, he pulled out the flowers, picked up the vase and walked to where Julian was. As Julian tried to pry open the maid's gown, he hit his head with all the strength he had, his focus on the perverse man when Leon moved to help the lady who turned out to be a maid and...

Oh no, he muttered to himself as he saw the redhead fall like she had passed out. He put his dagger back and held her up to notice her uniform torn brutally from behind and fresh scratches on her body...

He suddenly felt anger surge in him as he stood up, dropping the girl and he used his fists to hit the stupid man who had no shame whatsoever. He didn't stop at one punch and made sure the useless man was thrown to the ground before he stopped and picked up the lady who needed medical attention.

He looked down at Julian before he turned to Matthew, his eyes telling him to take care of the idiot.

Matthew provided a way for Leon seeing him carrying the girl in his arms, before facing Julian, giving him a cold stare.

Hadn't he been the one telling him he would teach him a lesson all this while? Well, guess who is teaching their lesson first, he mulled to himself before throwing the last punch that knocked him out.
