Healing the Broken Hearts

There will always be main characters who suffer through wind and storm only to suffer more. And there will always be people who feel heartache for them. Some will be angry for them, some will feel sad and sympathetic. A creature born from all the negative emotions in the world has taken on the job to heal those characters. And it turns out he is really good at it. A/N: I was too tired from all the abusive stories filled with knives. And the action-packed adventures don't comfort me. Also, I can't stand most of the romance genres. So the result is that I decided to write a healing story for all those readers who suffered from the knives. ( By knives, I mean the malicious heartbreaking moments in the story) The MC will have romantic interests and lovers in some worlds but won't in some. There may be quite a lot of face-slapping.

Chapter#2: One must not be a bad person in front of a child

When Yun An Rong came for breakfast, his family was already seated. They seemed happy to eat with all the members present after a long time.

It is truly a blessing to have a family. Each one of them finished their breakfast with happiness. Later, in the afternoon, they went out to let their two sons have fun.

First, they went to an amusement park. Xiao Rong and Xiao Luo thought that it would be embarrassing to play at such an age. But, the amusement park was big and had a wide variety of entertainment, any age of people could have fun there. They quickly got absorbed and tried out various games.

He was riding the roller coaster, competing in a laser gun battle, and trying out the claw machine. The distance that grew between them during the 5 years he was away, has dissipated.

Their parents weren't as lively as them and just waited for them at a beautiful garden-themed cafe. A beautiful woman and a handsome man gazing at each other lovingly, sitting at the window table, looked like an exquisite artwork.

The brothers played to their heart's content and went to eat lunch with their parents at the cafe. The people in the cafe could resist staring at the brightly shining couple. But, adding the two irresistibly handsome youths into the picture, it was impossible not to want to gaze at it longer.

The people who were being stared at like an animal in a zoo didn't find that gaze uncomfortable. They either didn't notice because they were paying full attention to their family or were used to it. After finishing their lunch, their mother proposed to go to the mall to prepare for their new school year.

"Mom, you should head back home first. We need to go to the campus," said Xiao Luo.

"Hm? Is there something you need to do there?"

"I need to report to school and thought I could show my brother around the city along the way."

Their mother was reluctant but still, let them leave in the end. The two brothers walked toward the university since it was not too far. The city had changed a lot since the last time he was here. It would be easy for a person to get lost if they haven't been here in the near 2 years.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the university. Xiao Rong followed Xiao Lou to the place where the new school year's arrangements and registrations were being made. Xiao Lou first reported to the school and chose his major. He chose a music major unhesitatingly since he liked music since childhood.

Xiao Rong was looking at the list of courses when he saw a drawing major. He was looking for ways to look after Xiao Lou and this could be a chance. He looked for a person that was working here to ask about it and found a staff who was giving instructions to new students.

"Excuse me, can I ask something from you?"

The staff who was responsible for guiding the freshmen heard someone asking a question and he turns around to reply. He confidently raised his chin and said "Of course, you can. You can ask anything related to the school and I guarantee I know everything...." he trailed off at the last part.

Black eyes and black hair. Common features but they seemed as dazzling as obsidian when combined with his beautiful face. It was a stunning face that he couldn't take his eyes away. He has seen good-looking people every day since this was an art school but no one could be compared to the person in front of him.

"How can I apply to be a teacher here?"

"U-umm, I'll need to ask the headmaster to know if the school is accepting such applications. You can leave your contact information and I'll contact you back after asking if that's all right with you." It seems that he was not fully unable to collect himself in the face of such beauty.

"Hm, is that so?" He thought for a bit and asked a different question this time. "Who is the headmaster?"

"The third master of the Ling family, Ling Xu Qing." He was confused about why he asked but he still answered truthfully since it was not confidential information.

Yun An Rong pondered over something then he turned around and pulled out his phone. He called someone, the phone ringing sounded for a while before the other person picked up. It sounded like they rushed a lot.

"Hello, sir... phew... " in comparison to his harsh breathing Xiao Rong's voice sounded extremely serene. "Hm, hello Ling Xu Qing. Do you have time to meet?"

"I have! I have time to meet! Where do we meet? I'll go there right now."

"No need. I am at your school. I'll go to your office. Are you there?"

"I am! Do you need someone to guide you? Wait, no. I'll come to get you. Can you tell me where you are?"

"At the place where students are reporting to the school. I will be waiting beside the student help stand."

"Got it!"

After hanging up Yun An Rong turned to the staff "You don't have to ask him anymore. But thanks for the help."

The staff replied "You're welcome, it's no trouble since it's my duty anyways." he said that and left to help others. As soon as he left, a handsome guy in a white shirt and black pants came running.

"Mr. Xiao it's really an honor to meet you again. How can I help you?" his eyes seems to be glowing with happiness.

"Nice to meet you again, too. I was wondering if there are any available teaching spots I could take on. If you need my qualifications, I'll send them to you by mail."

"What major do you want to teach? Music, Art, or Dance? I am afraid there's only a spot for a teacher in Art major."

"Oh? That's quite good then. But do tell me specifically what the teacher's spot is? Chinese oil arts? Pastel? I can teach the technique to Renaissance-style oil art and Chinese ink art. If I have to teach history I can only tell them about the Victorian Era and the time before that since I only learned the technique and never the history of others."

"That works well! Since our school's Chinese art teachers are all too busy to teach since the International Art tournament is approaching and the topic this time happened to be Chinese Art. Speaking of that, aren't you going to attend this year Mr. Xiao?"

"I will be attending but I can only be a judge starting this year." he sounded a bit dejected.

Ling Xu Qing thought to himself 'It's a bit disappointing to see such a prodigy go out of the competition but it also makes me happy to know that an unbeatable participant isn't going to be competing.' He was way too happy to get such talent coming to his school as a teacher. He felt like his school's Art Department is going to be shining with brilliance starting this year. Holding back his excitement, he hired Xiao Rong as an Art department teacher.

"I'll hire you as a Chinese Art teacher Mr. Xiao. But it may get a bit understaffed for a while until we hire a new teacher other than yourself and you may have to teach a few more classes from time to time." He was worried that he would be busy and can't take such a burden.

"It's okay, I'll manage it since I am quite free during this time." he sounded quite happy to announce that he had free time.

Ling Xu Qing had no more worries and led Xiao Rong to his office to discuss the class schedule and sign a teacher contract. Although he knew all about Xiao Rong's qualifications he still had to document them in a file to validate the contract. On the way, Xiao Rong messaged his brother to tell him to wait by the headmaster's office after he was done.

Xiao Luo received such a message and was confused about why his brother would be around the headmaster's office but still noted it down in his mind to go there later and continued to choose his class.

About two hours later Xiao Rong came out of the office and saw his brother talking with a teenager around his age beside the shelf that had the trophies the students and teachers had won for the school. There were pictures of the winners beside each trophy. He recognized some of the pictures since he either participated in the competition and won or was the judge and thus he was in the vast majority of the group photos.

It seemed as if the youth was just discussing with Xiao Luo but his words were vicious and filled with disdain for him.

"Know your place and get away from him. The kindness he showed to you today is only because he is like that towards everyone. If you try to seduce him again in the future I'll teach you a lesson!" It sounded quite childish.

It seems that Xiao Luo had asked a few questions from a Senior who was helping the newcomers and it just happened to be a famous senior who had a lot of chasers. If it was just those questions then it would not get any extra attention but that senior said that he looked familiar. Those people didn't like the fact that he was treated exclusively by that senior.

Even though the words sounded cliche it was ill-intentioned. He didn't want Xiao Luo to hear them.

"Know his place you say? Then do tell me, what kind of place do you have to say such things to him?" He was angered to hear his brother receiving such misdirected malice.

The boy turned his head to look at him. He was wary of him because he came out of the headmaster's office. His coming out of that office could usually only mean two things. Either he was a specially treated person who is nurtured by the school or a strictly monitored student who gets into trouble a lot. No matter which one it was, he had to treat them with caution. But he strangely kept feeling that the person in front of them looked familiar. If it was under normal circumstances he would've brushed it off, but coupled with the words the senior said to the freshman it kept nagging at the corner of his mind.

"Who are you? Why do you care about what I say to him? It's none of your business." Even though he was confronting the person but he couldn't bear to look straight at him in the face when he was so beautiful. He felt as if all his anger would be dissipated into confusion if he did.

"I am his brother and thus I have the right to defend him. If we are comparing his standing to yours I am quite sure he would have more prestige than you in this school thanks to me, even without me he is talented enough to outshine others." It was quite shameless of him to say such things. He felt a tad bit embarrassed on the inside but his face didn't reveal any of it. Even if it did the teenager in front of him wouldn't notice as he was looking away.

The boy's eyes wandered about for a while before landing on the pictures on the trophy shelf. He could notice a person with stunning beauty standing among people. He didn't know who he was before but he recognized it at one glance this time. It was the person that was standing before him.

Every student would walk by this shelf at least twice a day during school since this hallway connected the lesson building to the cafeteria, library, and other such non-classroom places. No wonder the senior found the freshman familiar, it was because he was the younger brother of the person whose picture he pass by a lot.

It also explains why this person could be so arrogant. He was a living legend in any art circle. Although his reputation as a legendary artist overshadows them, he was also popular in dance and music circles. People in the circle named him 'Apollo' and respected him as a teacher. There are four people who were taught by him and now all of them stand at the peak of the art circle.

I am switching Yun An Rong and Xiao Rong to refer to the MC depending on whose POV it is shown from. Also if there are any confusing things you can ask me.
