"Mind telling me what that was about?"

"It'll probably bore you." You said. "All ears." He replies. You sigh, knowing his stubborn self, he won't allow you to say no. "It was when I actually cared about grades and reputation. 6th grade, during the time I competed with Asano a lot." You began. Karma continued to listen in silence.

. "Akita, that girl, transferred here in the middle of the year. Asano being the perfect person he is, greeted Akita. Akita instantly fell in love with him. She saw me as a rival, an obstacle in her way to Asano, so she competed with me. She always came second to me. At the time, I wanted us to have a healthy rivalry, but Akita didn't see that way, she became a fake friend to me and I ignored it. After I...changed, I dropped the oblivious act and confronted her, she obviously denied. I failed many classes and instantly became cold to those around me. Akita boosted up on the ranks and I was sent down to E-Class. When she talked about my mother, I couldn't help but pounce on her."

You explained. Karma was silent, "What's all this talk about you 'changing'?" He asks. You stay silent and uncomfortably look away. Karma decides to let that slide. He gets up and gives you his hand for you to get up. "We should go back to the others." He said. "Ok." You reply.

The Class was as loud and rowdy as when you left, so no one had noticed you two were gone. You both sat back down and began to eat. Karma kept glancing back at you, as if he thought you were going to pounce at someone like you tried before.

Lunch ended and everyone headed up the mountain. You walked up the mountain beside Karma in an awkward silence. Karma was back to acting the weird and different way he did before. Not really paying attention to you, ending conversations quickly with you...Did I?...Did I do something wrong? Is he mad at me?...I hope not...

The day ended and everyone began their ways down the mountain. Everyone hiking down in different ways of the mountain. As always, it's Nagisa, Nakamura, Karma and You walking together down a path. Everyone's silent. You're looking down at the floor, Karma's looking up at the sky, Nagisa and Nakamura are watching you two.

You and Karma sigh and say in unison, " Done staring yet?". You slightly raise your eyebrow towards Karma since you two said the same thing but it was quickly shrugged off. "Well, it's kinda weird.." Nagisa began, trying to find the right words. "Hm?" You mumble.

"What Nagisa means to say is you two would usually be flirting right now, or at least, Karma would be." Nakamura says. "Eh?! Ey! No! Not flirting! Teasing! Karma would be teasing (y/n)!" Nagisa says. Nakamura shrugs with a smirk. You and Karma stare blankly at the two.

You ignore, looking down at the ground, Karma does the same and looks away. Nakamura raises an eyebrow, "oh no...don't tell me.. a love quarrel?!"

You continue to ignore, Karma gives Nakamura the deadest face, "Do you like wasabi?" He devilishly grinned. You crack a small smile, just a little curve at the end of your lips. Nakamura saw, "ooohh~ Karma you made (Y/n) smile for the first time today!! How cute~" she cooed. Your expression changed into a partly annoyed, partly embarrassed face. Karma looked at you with a slight raised eyebrow, "hm..ok." He answered.

Nakamura gave Karma a 'bruh' face. "What? Did you expect me to say something else?" Karma said. "Duh! You were supposed to tease her like usual! What the heck's gotten into you?!" Nakamura said, disappointed. Nagisa stayed silent, not wanting to be a part of this mixed conversation.

Once the group reached some point near the middle of the mountain, they parted ways to go on different paths. Now it was just you and Karma silently walking down the mountain. After an unbearable 5 minutes, "Karma, can you just tell me what's wrong? Are you mad?" You piped, biting your lip. Karma looked at you, then looked away with a shrug, "Can we talk about it later? When we're at my house instead?" He said.

Disappointed, you mumbled a "Fine...". You two finally made it down the mountain and headed for the subway. You both waited beside each other until a small bump met your shoulder. You turned to look at the person, "Sorry-" the person began. "Oh hey, Asano." You greeted. "Yeah, hey, (y/n).." he greeted back. Karma watched you two.

"Why are you using he subway? Don't you have a private driver or something?" You questioned. "Well..yes..but someone kept nagging me to allow them to get a drive home, but my dad doesn't want a, and I quote 'underling who doesn't know their place to step foot in the car of the luxurious'" Asano sighed. "I see.." you said, Knowing full well who he was talking about.

"Gaku-kun~ How much longer 'Til the train comes?~" a voice spoke, grabbing Asano's shoulder. It was Akita, the silver-haired bitch herself. Asano put on a pained smile and said, "6 more minutes and don't call me that." He said. "Aw~ why not?~" she said, before noticing you. She hid behind Asano's shoulder and began making an obviously scared face, "(y/n) tried to attack me during lunch! Gaku-kun let's leave!" She began pulling Asano away from you and Karma.

Karma finally stopped being silent, "Tch! You know full well that your the one who pushed her too much for her to attack you, stop playing victim." He said, pissed. Asano raised an eyebrow, "What is all this about?" He asked. Akita began, "Well, I was just trying to tell (y/n) that-" Asano cit her off, "(y/n), from your perspective." He asked. Akita glared at you, "Ask the slut." You said.

Akita began to retort, "Excuse me?! You're the real slut here! Probably got it from your mothe-" "I wouldn't go there if I were you." Karma cut her off, putting his hands on your shoulders to keep you from pouncing her. You clenched your first and gritted your teeth, "this bitch did NOT just try to go there!" You thought. Eventually, you calmed yourself down, "Karma, the trains coming, c'mon." You said, turning away, head up high.

"Hmph!" You heard Akita mumble. You weren't gonna fall for her trick, no, not in front of a crowd. You weren't going to cause a scene in public..

"Good job" Karma whispered in your ear. "It was pretty hard to resist my temptation to punch her in the face, paralyze her with gas, tie her up, then squirt hot mustard and wasabi up her nose.." you said. "Spoken like a genius." Karma chuckles. You smiled, Karma wasn't acting weird right now.

After the train ride, Karma decided to walk you home, even though you kept repeating that it was fine and he didn't have to. Though his stubborn self wouldn't hear any of it.

Once you got there, you said your goodbyes,

"See you at training later!"
