CHAPTER 34 :Denial

Raj - kya kahaan tumne?

Simran didn't answer him so raj started teasing her more

Raj - tumhe bahut practice ki zarurat hai,kiss karte time ek technique follow ki jaati hai

Simran - raj please stop talking about it

Raj- about what?

Simran - about that

Raj - mai tho bas tumhe sikhaa raha tha

Simran - hum movie dekhne aaye hai please tum bhi dekho mujhe bhi dekhne do

Raj - finally aap se tum sounds so good

Both kept quiet and Simran started watching movie with full interest

both didn't speak throughout the movie, Raj kept enjoying simran's presence and didn't make her feel uncomfortable, Simran was crying while watching the climax of the movie

The movie got over and everyone got up to leave from the theatre hall

Simran and raj also came out of the theatre along with their friends

All the girls were quite emotional after watching the movie

Sameer - ye teeno itna ro kyu rahi hai, hero heroine mil tho gaye last mai

Vijay - emotional movie thi

Sameer - itni bhi nahi thi ki ro ro theatre paani se bhar de

Vijay - raj baat kiya tune?

Raj - baat karne ki koshish ki lekin

Sameer- lekin nahi kar paaya haina

Raj - mai usko uncomfortable feel nahi karwaana chaahta tha

Simran, anjali , seema sneha were discussing about the movie

Simran -dinner se pehle ghar jaana hoga

Sneha - lekin abhi tho sirf 8:30 hai

seema - yaar itne time pe bhi auto ka rate double ho jaata hai

Simran - exactly

sneha - coffee tho peeke chalte hai

Simran - ok

SIMRAN 'S POV

I was already feeling tired, tired of my emotions, tired of my friends lying to me and bringing me here, I looked at my mobile to check the time, it was already 8:30 , I wanted to leave this place ASAP, I could see Raj staring at me every now and then from away , I told my friends that I wanted to go but they didn't listen to me and asked me to at least drink a coffee with them , it was quite cold I needed something hot so I agreed too

we all went to cafe and sat down, sameer ordered coffee and some snacks for us

My mobile started ringing , I took the mobile , it was my brother, I immediately received the call

"i am coming to pick you up, do you know mom and dad are so worried, mom told you to be back soon", bhaiya shouted angrily

" bhai i am sorry", its just 8:30 pm"

"You are not supposed to go out to your bloody late night outing", bhai shouted again and hung the call angrily

I was almost in tears bhai never spoke to me in such a way before

Everyone looked at me

"kya huwa Simran, why are you crying?kiska call tha?" , anjali asked

"wo bhaiya ka" , I said in between my sobs

what's wrong ? , sneha asked

"looks like he is worried isiliye daant diya" , anjali said

"i broke my promise all thanks to you guys" , I said

I was really angry and annoyed

I was angry on myself and annoyed because my friends lied to me

"calm down" , sameer said

"what calm down? bhaiya is coming to pick me up, I should go ", I said and started leaving

I could feel someone walking behind me and I knew it was Raj, I turned to look at him

"please leave me alone ",I said and started walking again

he walked quickly and held my wrist and pulled me towards him

"Don't you dare push me away from you? samjhi tum?" , he literally shouted

I was already hurt because of my emotions and tears rolled down from my eyes

"what's happening here", a familiar voice shouted from behind

I pushed raj and looked behind

It was veer bhaiya

"Simmu tu theek tho haina", bhaiya said and approached me quickly

he wiped my tears and looked at raj angrily

" kya ho raha tha idhar? did he hurt you?" bhaiya asked

i didn't know what to say,"kuch bolegi?" , bhaiya shouted

Anjali seema sneha vijay and sameer came towards us

"bhaiya wo mai", I was not able to lie like always and started stammering

"Wo veer, hum sab chaahte te ki ye hum sab ke saath dinner kare but she didn't listen so raj came to bring her back", anjali said

"Simmu ye sach bol rahi hai?" , bhaiya asked me expecting me to tell the truth like always

I simply nodded my head

"tu ro kyu rahi hai ? ", bhaiya asked

" because you scolded me "i said and walked towards the car , anjali followed me and tried to console me

Bhaiya too joined us , bhaiya hugged me and patted my back

"i am sorry, I was just stressed, mom dad were worried and you know dad kaise hai he doesn't feel good until he sees you infront of his eyes " bhaiya said

"i am sorry" , I apologized

Bhaiya broke from the hug and wiped my tears away and asked me to sit in the car, he opened the door of the front seat

"Anjali tum akeli ghar jaaogi? come with us", i said

"Sit down simmu ", bhaiya told loudly without looking at Anjali

I sat down immediately

bhaiya opened the back door for anjali

"baitho" he ordered

she sat down too

he started driving, there was an awkward silence between all three of us

"how dare he", bhaiya broke the silence

I looked at him, he was looking angry

" kya huwa bhai? "I asked

"didn't that guy hurt you? ", bhaiya asked

I looked at bhai , I was confused

"look at your wrist", bhai said

I looked at it I had some bruises over there

" mu tod deta uska,I stopped because I didn't want to embarrass you " , bhaiya said angrily

"this is the way of convincing ? this is how he was convincing my sister to join you guys for dinner? ", bhaiya said looking at anjali through the mirror

" ANSWER ME", BHAIYA SHOUTED AGAIN

" this happened by mistake" ,I tried to cover it up

"will you explain? " bhaiya asked

"wo mere bangle ka ek piece chub gya tha so he tried to remove it, it is the bangle mark", I said

bhaiya remained quite

We remained quite throughout the journey , we reached home, I asked anjali to have a sleep over in my house

Veer bhaiya stopped Anjali and asked me to go inside

I went inside, I saw my dad sitting in the living area waiting for me I ran towards him, I sat beside

" i am sorry dad", I said

"you broke your promise for the first time ,

things are changing meri bacchi badi ho rahi hai", dad said coldly ,he got up and was about to leave, and ran behind him and stopped him, i sat down,I held my ears and apologized twice, I was in tears

Dad made me stand, he wiped my tears and hugged me, " it's ok, please don't cry " dad said

"did you eat something? , dad asked

I said no, he took me to the dining table and made me sit and asked mom to serve food for us

"Bhai ne bhi kuch nahi khaaya" , I said

"wo hai kahaan", mom asked

"abhi tho idhar hi te aur Anjali bhi idhar hi thi", I started looking around

"I saw her coming towards us, she looked sad

"Anjali beta idhar aao baith jaao simran ke paas",mom said and kept plate for her

After few minutes bhaiya came, he was directly going towards his room but my mom shouted and asked him to have his dinner

he came and sat beside dad , mom served food for us and we all started eating quietly

After eating food, bhai looked at me and said, " I will drop and pick you from college from tomorrow ", he said and went towards his room , I looked at Anjali who was still quiet

After finishing our dinner we both went towards my room

I closed the door, anjali sat on my bed, I went to her and asked " what's wrong? "

"he got to know about you and raj I think",anjali said

" what?" , I said in shock

"I think he saw you both getting intimate" , anjali said

"what are you even saying, I just asked him to leave me alone, we weren't getting" .. I stopped

She looked at me, "veer is very angry, he asked me what's going on between you and raj ", anjali said

FLASHBACK

Anjali 's pov

when I was about to get into the house veer dragged me towards the corner and pushed me towards the wall

"What the hell is happening" ,he literally yelled at me

I looked at him in shock because he never behaved aggressively before

he hit the wall with his palm and caged me between him

"Will you fucking answer to my question?" he yelled

I was not able to breathe, I gathered all my strength and said " I don't know what are you talking about "

"i am asking about simran and raj, don't you dare to say you don't know, she is your best friend , isn't she?" he questioned

"I don't know anything, now move aside" ,I said coldly and pushed him , I was walking away when he again grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards him

"I can make out by looking in your eyes that you are lying, sach sach bologi ki nahi? " he said and pulled me more close to him by holding my waist

"Will you speak up? ", he shouted again

I was not able to breathe and he was asking me speak up

I couldn't resist anymore, I tried to push him away but his grip was tight and I failed

" bhai hoon uska, I don't have any problem if she is in a relationship with anyone I just want to be sure wo meri simmu ke laayak hai ya nahi", veer said and loosened his grip from my waist

I was able to breathe finally

"i just know that they both like each other 's company , raj is fond of her", I said

"and simran? ", veer asked looking straight into my eyes

" she is in denial , I don't know she never speaks to me about him", I said honestly

"ok find it out," he said

"will you be ok if she starts dating him?" I asked

Veer looked at me and said "I wouldn't be ok if she starts dating any guy in this world".. he paused "until I will be sure the guy she is dating is not harmful and is serious about her", he said

We remained quite for a few seconds and then he said me to go inside..

VEER'S POV

I saw Raj and simran almost so close to each other , when I shouted they moved aside in shock

When I questioned simran, she wasn't able to answer, obviously she was not good in lying, Anjali as usual covered it up for her, I want to warn that guy right away in front of my sister but I didn't wanted her to feel uncomfortable, so I grabbed her hand when I grabbed her I saw few bruises over there, I left her hand to not hurt her more, I now knew why she was crying she was hurt by these creep , I wiped her tears and asked her why are you crying ?

"because you shouted on me", she said and walked off

I looked back at Raj angrily

" why did you hurt my sister" , I asked angrily

"ask her", he said and walked away

" bastard " I muttered , though his friends heard it and looked at me in shock

i walked towards the car and hugged my sister , we got into the car and I couldn't control anymore so I tried to ask my sis about her bruises, she started saying some random made up story I easily understood that she was lying

I kept quiet and we reached our home, we were about to get in I stopped Anjali and dragged her towards the wall

I asked her about simran Raj, I yelled at her for the first time because she was behaving like she is deaf, she pushed me away and tried to walk away, I held her hand and pushed her towards me, her hand hit on my chest and I unknowingly placed my hand on her waist, I could hear her heart beat increasing, she was shocked as well as surprised because we were never these close before, though we went on dates 3-4 times but never got intimate as we both are shy

I pulled her more close and asked her to speak up

I could see her face tensing up so I tried to be clear to her and loosened the grip from her waist, I explained her that I don't have any problem if simran dates someone, but I want to be sure that person is not harmful for her, as a brother I was protective towards simran, Anjali understood my point and answered me honestly, after getting my answer I asked her to go inside and I stood there thinking for a while and went inside after some time
