He Cried Wolf

He's in love with a werewolf, what could go wrong? Kyla Odin is a werewolf who became one, not by choice. Her parents were killed by the one who changed her. Albert Torino is a normal human superstar police officer, loved by all--especially the women for his good looks, gutsiness, and resilience in the police force. When bodies with animal bites and gunshot wounds start turning up in Glasgow Creek, Albert is called to investigate the murders. He meets Kyla, and his 99% accurate instinct tells him to be wary of her, but his throbbing libido has other plans of its own. Her alluring beauty entraps him into her world of secrets, danger, and lies. There's a killer on the loose. There's a growing sexual tension between them, and there's also the little issue of her shape-shifting abilities. ******* This is a work of fiction. Twenty-nine

The rain stopped a few minutes after dropping Kyla off. Albert made a quick stop by his place to pick up some documents. With so much work to do, he was surprised to find Matthew asleep in the living room, feet propped on the center table and ankles crossed.

"Matt."

He muttered and shrugged off the handshaking his shoulder.

"Jesus, can't a man get any peace around here?" He blinked up at Albert. "Do you remember when I thought this would be fun?"

Albert kept his hands jammed in his pockets as he smiled. "Yeah."

"Well, I was wrong." he rotated his neck, making the vertebrae pop. "Why don't you go in, get us something strong to drink?"

"I still have work to do. And you? Are you done for the day?"

"Yeah." he spotted an easy grin. "And the psychologist?"

"What about her?"

"Well, where is she?"

"I dropped her home."

Matthew's white-toothed smile flashed in his dark face. "How was the date?"
