He Cried Wolf

He's in love with a werewolf, what could go wrong? Kyla Odin is a werewolf who became one, not by choice. Her parents were killed by the one who changed her. Albert Torino is a normal human superstar police officer, loved by all--especially the women for his good looks, gutsiness, and resilience in the police force. When bodies with animal bites and gunshot wounds start turning up in Glasgow Creek, Albert is called to investigate the murders. He meets Kyla, and his 99% accurate instinct tells him to be wary of her, but his throbbing libido has other plans of its own. Her alluring beauty entraps him into her world of secrets, danger, and lies. There's a killer on the loose. There's a growing sexual tension between them, and there's also the little issue of her shape-shifting abilities. ******* This is a work of fiction. Thirty-two

Indeed, Albert was in a crabby mood. And Kyla learned that when he was crabby, he was bossy to a point of rudeness.

She had made the mistake of heading to his office before Chief McCarthy's and found him barking at someone over the phone. He eyed her as I hovered at the door.

He snapped his fingers and pointed to a sofa. Her brows furrowed at his over-the-top gesture, but she sat down. He paid no attention to her. But she was aware of him. She watched as he vibrated with irritation on the phone.

An officer came in to go over some documents with him, and Kyla stood up to leave.

Albert scowled at her and said, "Sit."

"No," she said bluntly. "I have a lot to do with my time and sitting down here, like a couch potato, isn't one of them."

"We have a meeting with Chief McCarthy. He's on his way, sit."

Her mouth pursed, holding in indignation as she sat back.
