He Cried Wolf

He's in love with a werewolf, what could go wrong? Kyla Odin is a werewolf who became one, not by choice. Her parents were killed by the one who changed her. Albert Torino is a normal human superstar police officer, loved by all--especially the women for his good looks, gutsiness, and resilience in the police force. When bodies with animal bites and gunshot wounds start turning up in Glasgow Creek, Albert is called to investigate the murders. He meets Kyla, and his 99% accurate instinct tells him to be wary of her, but his throbbing libido has other plans of its own. Her alluring beauty entraps him into her world of secrets, danger, and lies. There's a killer on the loose. There's a growing sexual tension between them, and there's also the little issue of her shape-shifting abilities. ******* This is a work of fiction. Kyla held the door to her grandpa's home open for him, and Albert took a hesitant step inside.

"Remind me again why your grandpa won't be home tonight?" He asked.

"Last-minute camping trip with his buddies." She replied, shutting the door behind her. When Henson sent the message this afternoon, she knew it was only a ploy to avoid a continuation of the conversation they had this morning. Her grandpa was withholding important information about her current existence, and instead of opening up about it, he was running away. Ridiculous.

Albert tucked his hands in his jean pockets and rocked back and forth on his heels. "So, what is it you wanted to talk about?"

Kyla dropped her bag and keys on the island by the door and moved to the kitchen. "I need wine," she announced. "You want some?"

As she hunted for a bottle of wine and a corkscrew from Henson's collection, she sensed rather than saw him enter the kitchen. "Yeah," he said.
