He Cried Wolf

He's in love with a werewolf, what could go wrong? Kyla Odin is a werewolf who became one, not by choice. Her parents were killed by the one who changed her. Albert Torino is a normal human superstar police officer, loved by all--especially the women for his good looks, gutsiness, and resilience in the police force. When bodies with animal bites and gunshot wounds start turning up in Glasgow Creek, Albert is called to investigate the murders. He meets Kyla, and his 99% accurate instinct tells him to be wary of her, but his throbbing libido has other plans of its own. Her alluring beauty entraps him into her world of secrets, danger, and lies. There's a killer on the loose. There's a growing sexual tension between them, and there's also the little issue of her shape-shifting abilities. ******* This is a work of fiction. Ninety-six

Matthew eyed the long line of people waiting to get into Delano's nightclub and cursed. It irked him. Had it not been for the unofficial investigation Albert had entreated him to conduct, he would probably be resting his tired head on the bosom of a beautiful woman right now, easing the stress of the last five working days. Who knew this many people went clubbing on a Saturday night, anyway? Especially, in a town like this, with all the ruckus and unexplained murders.

He sighed, deciding to turn around because attempting to skip a long line to get into a club he doesn't even want to be at would be nearly impossible. Albert would probably never stop reminding him of this day but he was fully prepared to live with his friend's jabs for as long as it took him to get over it.
