chapter 42

Samra p.o.v

I never thought that college life would suddenly become something unexpected.

Now am living the life I have always wanted. I have friends, I get to go out without being questioned about my whereabouts and I get to spend time with Brian and his younger brother.

Sometimes I wish that I could have a sibling to play with but I happen to be the only child.

That's one of the thing that my mom would always push me hard to do better in school so that one day I would take over her multinational billion dollar company once she steps down as the CEO.

For now I have decided to take a different path, i have chosen to live life like a normal teenager and do the hell feel like.

After spending the day with Brian,I went back to school. As I was walking back to the dorm I saw Martha coming out from the dorm.

As she approached me she screamed which almost made my ears bleed.

"What happened to you?" I asked as I removed my hands from my ears.

"You won't believe who asked me out today?" She asked as she showed me her phone.

I looked at her phone and saw alvaro's name on her phone.

"Seriously Martha you just got your heart broken yesterday and now you're making your move on alvaro?" I asked as I raised my left eyebrow at her.

"Just a reminder, I broke up with him and now it's my chance to make a move on alvaro and besides it's not like he's in a relationship" she said as she grind.

"Are you sure, please don't tell me you stalked him on social media?" I asked curiously.

"You're right, I did and besides we have a history"

Martha smiled as she looked behind me,I turned to look and saw alvaro standing by the fountain and Martha quickly walked away before I could talk to her.

I looked at them as they both drove off on his sport bike. I stood there for a second then went back to the dorm.

As I entered the room, I threw my bag on the bed. Removed my hijab and took my towel to take a quick shower.

After two hours, I came out and wore my pajamas, dried my long brown hair. I then looked at my phone and saw Martha posting on her Instagram.

Though I know Martha's true identity, I was glad she was having fun. I then texted Sophia but she didn't reply.

I assumed she was sleeping after spending days with Brian and the school work.

After waiting for few minutes, I left my phone on the bed and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

After making tea and some rice with chicken and salad. I went back to the room to take my phone and saw a text from Sophia which I wasn't expecting.

Sophia,

How is Brian's mom, I just woke up from a nap?. Are you still at the hospital.

Samra

She's still unconscious and no I just came back from the hospital.

Sophia

Oh!cool.

Samra,

Do you by any chance send me last week's notes, since I have missed alot I would have asked Martha but she's not here.

Sophia,

Where's she? Is she at the practice?.

Samra,

She went out with alvaro.

After sending it, she didn't reply back after few minutes. She sent me an email on my laptop, it was the notes she wrote last week when I wasn't attending the classes.

I thanked her and worked on the notes, it took me hours but eventually I was done by the time it was midnight.

After I was done, I got ready to sleep, as I was putting alarm on my phone, my phone rang, it was a call from Brian.

I answered it and I heard him laughing and I was super shocked as to what was happening.

"Hey, samra guess what?!my mom just woke up" he smiled as I saw him through the video call.

I saw his mom awake and she was talking to his brother.

"Am glad she's awake, I was about to call you though "

"Oh!Well am glad I called first" he was still smiling.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow after school,you know I haven't attended classes for a week"

"Cool ill see you tomorrow then"he then ended the call.

Finally good news at last, it mist have been difficult for him to spend his first month at the hospital after he got admitted here.

As I was thinking about it, I heard someone opening the door quietly. I turned around and saw Martha tiptoeing as she entered the room.

"How was your date?" I asked as she almost screamed but stopped.

"It was great at first bit now it seems like I won't have a chance left "Martha said as she put her hand bag on the couch.

"What do you mean did you have an argument or something?" I asked curiously.

"Something like that, I think he has a secret girlfriend and he won't tell me"

"Are you sure? How can you be sure he has one when you were the one who was excited to go out with him?" I asked.

"I should have listened but it's just that he seems more adorable and hot, did you see his body he's so freaking hot" she said as she showed me his picture.

I won't deny he is good looking but she seems like she forgot that she broke up with her boyfriend the previous night.

"By any chance, you seem to forget that you had a history with him and now he is moving forward don't you think you should do the same" I suggested.

But the look on her face seems different, she doesn't want to give up on him and that's the kind of a person she is.

"Not so first samra, I have to make sure that he's not having a secret girlfriend and if it trout to be true then I'll have to fight for him,you know who I am right?"

I just  nodded

"All I hope for is that you don't get hurt in the process "I smiled at her.

"By the way, I got a call from Brian and his mom has woken up and he's so happy" I told her.

"That's good news for once" Martha smiled.

"And am glad you also put your differences with Sophia and did the presentation today" I said.

"You know that I did it because of the group not I wanted to do it "Martha pointed at me as she came out of the bathroom while brushing.

"I do know that she was your roommate last semester but can you at least try to be friends please" I pleaded.

"Listen samra I know you want us all to be friends but with a person like her I don't think it will work"

"I know that but for my sake will you please try am sure you'll get along and maybe be friends for life"

"Ok fine only for you, I don't know I just have a feeling that it won't last long" Martha shook her head and then turned the lights off.

All I want is to have a normal teenage years in university and make as many memories as I can and I promise myself to make it work no matter what.....
