37 Who's Causing Trouble?

Su Xingyuan had hoped that Su Jian was lying to him, but when he saw the bright red marriage certificate at home, the cold hard truth fell upon him like a cold shower. His sister was truly married!

Su Xingyuan's heart sank as he stared at the marriage certificate. He opened it and saw Su Jian's smiling face, which only intensified the pain in his eyes. Without hesitation, he tore the certificate into pieces. He even burned it. But what difference would it make? The marriage certificate was not just a piece of paper, it was a legal bond that couldn't be erased by simply burning it.

Su Xingyuan grabbed tufts of his hair and returned to his room like a headless fly. Then, he started pounding the wall in frustration. But what good would that do? Even if he injured or disabled himself, it wouldn't change the fact that Su Jian had married a complete stranger!

Su Xingyuan felt extremely anxious. He paced back and forth at home before rushing out. When he returned to the hospital, he thought of a way to resolve this matter. There was only one way this ends: Su Jian must divorce that man! However, when Su Xingyuan arrived at the hospital, there was no sign of Su Jian. There was only a nurse watching over Yao Qin.

Su Xingyuan had asked Yao Qin where Su Jian had gone. Yao Qin remarked offhandedly that she had gone home with Jin Pingchuan. Upon hearing that Su Jian and Pingchuan had returned to the rented apartment, he became so anxious that he almost argued with Yao Qin. If it weren't for Yao Qin's illness, he would have caused a scene! Su Xingyuan then asked Yao Qin for the address of the rented apartment, but she refused to tell him.

While suppressing his anger, Su Xingyuan stepped outside to call Su Jian, only to find that her phone was switched off and he couldn't reach her! Su Xingyuan experienced a truly restless night. In the morning, he rushed to the hospital in hopes of meeting Su Jian. He was truly worried. His heart ached for her. How could a man who couldn't even afford a house be his brother-in-law?

"Sis, you used to say that I was reckless. But what about you? You got married to a stranger without even discussing it with me. Is this how you treat yourself? Even if Su Yinian broke your heart, you shouldn't degrade yourself like this! I don't agree with you marrying that man. Get a divorce. Let's go to the Civil Affairs Bureau on Monday! If you don't divorce him, I'll kill him!" As Su Xingyuan spoke, his words lost reasoning. He couldn't bear the pain of losing Su Jian.

In Su Jian's eyes, Su Xingyuan was acting like a child again. It was causing her a headache. "Xingyuan, who's being foolish here? What's all this talk of killing? Can't you speak without being so impulsive? I know what I'm doing, and Jin Pingchuan is a good person. He has a decent salary and good looks. What's wrong with me marrying him? My marriage is my own business, and it's not up to you, right?"

"But... Sis, how could a loveless marriage continue? Can't you stop being foolish?"

"Love is a fairytale. I don't want it." Su Jian smiled and patted Su Xingyuan's head. "I just want stability and a real life. I'm not young anymore, so when I found that Jin Pingchuan was decent during the blind date, I brought up the topic of marriage. It was my initiative. I won't divorce Jin Pingchuan unless he goes way over the line."

"Sis!" Su Xingyuan was getting more anxious.

"That'll be enough of that. If you want my marriage to be successful and if you still consider me your sister, then don't have any funny ideas behind my back. I know you're a fighter, but Su Xingyuan, you're not allowed to cause trouble for him, do you understand? If I find out, you won't be my brother any longer," Su Jian warned with a serious expression.

Su Xingyuan had been frail as a child. Su Jian's adoptive father had enrolled him in martial arts classes to strengthen his body. However, he had used those skills to create trouble. While Su Jian was certain that Su Xingyuan wouldn't take someone's life, she knew that he may very well attempt to beat up Jin Pingchuan.

"Sis, do you not want me anymore?" Su Xingyuan opened his mouth as his face turning pale. After uttering those words, his eyes welled up with tears.

"How could you think that?" Su Jian was surprised by Su Xingyuan's thoughts.

"Why not? Mom's health is deteriorating, and we don't know how long she has left. You're married again. When Mom is no longer here and you have a new family, I'll be left with nothing. Have you ever thought about me? You're everything to me. If you no longer care about me, would I still have a home?" Su Xingyuan asked in a hoarse voice.
