Their Last Goodbye

"What a gentleman that guy is, making a girl get the drinks." 18-year-old Sena sighed, looking at the two cups of coffee in her hands. She left the school cafeteria as quietly as she could, avoiding a few groups of juniors on her way out. Lowering her head, she went straight to a hidden garden at the back of their campus.

She couldn't help but feel accomplished after she reached this place unnoticed. As soon as she was there, she began to look for the person who made her go through trouble just to get coffee. She looked like a fairy wandering around in her own garden.

She was wearing the school's standard uniform, a white, figure-fitting blouse, a beige vest and a knee length beige skirt. She looked youthful and happy. Her long black hair swayed with the wind, but what made this sight even more beautiful was her striking green eyes.

After a while of searching, she finally found who she was looking for. Sena couldn't help but smile when she saw him slumped on a bench as if his life had been drained from him. She stopped walking and watched him for a little while longer.

The boy sighed and stared at the sky. He was wearing the standard uniform as well but he was wearing it without the vest and he had the first few buttons opened. Without bias, Sena could say that he was probably one of the most stunning people that he had ever seen. He had sharp features and neatly styled blond hair. He was tall and had broad shoulders. In short, he was a total babe.

"Like what you see?" The boy suddenly turned towards her and asked her with a grin. At that moment he looked like every girl's dream guy. Coupled with the beautiful sunset behind him, he looked like he came straight out of a painting.

"Yes." Sena blankly answered as she walked towards him.

"That's all? No, 'Wow, you're so thick-faced.' or 'Eww, No!'?" He asked, mockingly imitating Sena's voice.

"I've decided to be nice for now. So, don't test my patience, Lev." Sena smiled and handed him the one of the coffees.

"Three creams, two sugars?"

"Of course."

"Good job!" Lev praised her. "I didn't think that you would get back here so quickly. I thought those juniors would surround you at the cafeteria."

"They almost did." Sena rolled his eyes at him. "You knew that those juniors of ours would chase after me, but you still sent me out to get coffee. How mean!"

"They're only chasing after you because they want to say goodbye. It's your last day here after all." Lev laughed at her, imagining how Sena sneaked from the cafeteria to the garden. At the mention of it being her last day, Sena grew quiet.

"Hey, sit beside me." Lev pulled on the edge of her blouse.

"I can't, Lev. I have to leave as soon as possible." Sena replied, helplessness lacing her voice. The smile on Lev's face vanished.

"Do you really have to go? Lev lowered his head. Sena felt amused by his reaction. He remined her of a crying puppy.

"You know I have to go. My dad wants me to study abroad." Sena messed up Lev's hair and patiently explained. "Even if I do my best to convince him, he'll never let me stay here. But maybe if you give me a good reason, I'll do better to convince him." Sena joked.

"I'll miss you." Sena was surprised by his sudden words of affection. Lev turned and looked away from Sena. Sena was speechless for a moment.

"What?"

"You told me to give you a reason to stay right?" Sena looked at him with amused shock. "Being with you is fun. I wish you didn't have to go." His words were simple yet very sincere. His face was turned away from her, so she was growing curious of how he looked right now. His voice was hoarse and he was sniffing every now and then.

"Are you crying?"

"No." Lev immediately replied, covering his face with his hands.

"Hmm, really?" Sena tried to look at his face but he kept on hiding and avoiding her. "If you think you can trick me with your fake ass crying, you're totally wrong." She held his face by the chin and she basically forced him to look at her. To her surprise, Lev still refused to remove his hands.

"Are you really . . ." Sena pried his hands off and saw that Lev's eyes were actually starting to tear up

"Wow, I never thought that there'd be a time when I'd see you cry." Sena was touched.

"Happy now?" Lev wiped his tears and leaned on the park bench.

"Yes, I'm very happy." Sena held his face in her hands. "Thank you for being sad in my place, because right now, I don't have the luxury to me sad. I will miss you too."

The scene was beautiful. 2 people in their youth spending what could be their last moments together in a serene park. It was just like a dream. At this moment, it could only be a dream.
