Prologue

With the wind howling around them in the dim moonlight, two figures quickly darted past the sign for the forbidden cliff.

Silent shadows speedily followed and reached the cliff, beneath which River Ganga flowed ferociously with monstrous might.

The bigger figure kept the smaller one close behind it and prepared for its last showdown.

It was none other than Shan Ru, Almighty King of Albane, the prodigy who shook both the martial and the spirit worlds with his impossible talent and battle power.

The shadowy Devil's spawn circling him may not have been the strongest, but were definitely some of the fastest and most quick-witted demons.

Still, the Almighty King, even in his poisoned state, wasn't someone they could defeat in direct confrontation.

So the demons employed their sneak-and-evade technique, tiring out the already weakened duo as more demons arrived for backup.

Being forced to feel overwhelming desperation didn't dampen Ru's spirits. Instead, it energized him.

He knew that prolonging the fight would limit his daughter's chance of survival.

With this thought in his mind, he sent her a mental message.

"Survive and avenge me, Za. When you are safe, contact old General Ra. Protect yourself, my baby."

With that he pushed Zarna off the cliff, laying a formation to protect her fall. Her heart full of agony, she screamed, "Father!"

The only reply she got was a fiery explosion and the earth trembling. The last thing she saw before blacking out was her father burning brightly, with all he had, bringing down his enemies.

His death would be the beginning of a new era.
