Havilah looked on in confusion, wondering who the lady was,and why she was making such a ruckus.
The unknown lady was clad in the latest Gucci dress, putting on stylish heels, her whole look screaming rich diva, one might even mistake her for a model.
The MC tried to divert the attention of the guests from the unfolding drama.
While Don had kept a blank look on his face all through the ceremony, the moment he saw the woman before him,his countenance changed subtly,he then turned to Havilah, who had a lost expression on her face wondering what the hell was going on.
The woman soon reached before them still shouting and uttering curse words, despite the fact that security was trying hard to restrain her but they couldn't do much as it was offensive to manhandle a woman.
"After everything we had together, why did you have to leave me,wasn't I good enough for you,the woman asked facing Don,"I thought you loved me, didn't I do enough to stand by your side, she continued ranting.
At this juncture,a female security had come and pulled her away while Don had a smile on his face to assure the guest that all was well.
But the woman had succeed in her agenda to sow a seed of mistrust between the couple, which worked well as the bride had began to have different thoughts running through her head while looking at her husband in a whole different light.l
"You should ignore her",Don said turning to face Havilah.
"It ok" ,she replied,
But they both knew that it was not ok at all.
Havilah had unshed tears in her eyes, her heart aching terribly at the unfairness of it all. She wondered what wrong she had performed to deserve such a bad day.
Her wedding day was something she had always dreamed of, walking down the aisle with her prince charming in a really magnificent event with fire works and lot of laughter, Her Father beside her to give her hand away with blessings and being surrounded by the people she loved.
But reality was so cruel and she had to bear it with a smile on her face, Her future looking bleak.
She looked at the handsome man before her, Who was now her husband, With so much bitterness and a seeping hatred for coming into her life and destroying the bliss she had.
At this point all she wanted was to end it all and be left alone, She had bore enough.
....
The wedding ceremony was over and the couple sat beside each other in a black and shiny Rolls-Royce Phantom the latest, In an uncomfortable silence, each staring out of the window lost in thought resulting in the gloomy atmosphere that surrounded the car.
Don had glanced at Havilah several times now that he was sure that she must have noticed, He wanted to say something to break the uncomfortable silence in the car but was unsure of what to say, After the scene caused by the model-like lady, he had noticed the way she reacted with silent anger, He would be lying if he said he didn't understand her emotions that was showing clearly on her face even thou she had tried hard to bottle it in and he was thankful that she hadn't flare up at the wedding reception thou he would gladly listen if she had expressed her displeasure rather than keeping quiet.
He wasn't used to such a situation where he had to beg or cajole people, and he simply didn't care about what other people thought or said about him, but the girl sitting beside him arouse a feeling in him that made him want to protect her and make sure she was happy, a feeling that was strange and foreign to him.
He decided to speak up, deciding that it was better to do so than sit in painful discomfort.
'Vilah',He called, turning slightly to face her, with a smile.
Havilah turned away from the window, startled at the nickname he had called her, a name which only her late mother called her, her eyes watered slightly at this and seeing this led Don to panic thinking she was displeased at the way he called her with fondness.
'Am sorry, if that offended you, he apologized, that was not my intention at all '.
She continued to stare at him not offering an explanation for the way she had reacted.
Don wished he had kept his mouth shut in the first place, wondering how he even thought of something so silly in the first place,a man of his Calibre trying to please someone when it was usually the other way round, people trying so hard to please him in other to curry his favor.
The car soon came to a stop in a big and beautiful estate, and before the chauffeur could open the car, it was flung open carelessly by a young man resembling Don to the last details, the young man went to Havilah's side of the car and pulled her out embracing her tightly while she stood with a shocked expression on her face.
