"Hello," Martin approached Evelyn's table with a smile.
"Hi," she greeted with a faint smile.
"I'm Jake," Martin introduced himself, extending his hand for a handshake.
"Eve," she responded curtly, opting not to shake his hand.
Martin retracted his outstretched hand.
The waiter arrived with Evelyn's order, and she paid using cash she had received from Michael.
"So, I assume you're one of those hot, single, wealthy women in their fifties, right? Well, I happen to be hot, rich, and single myself," he said playfully, winking at her.
Evelyn let out a chuckle, finding his comment amusing.
"What are you getting at?" She asked.
"Let's hook up. Let's get together," Martin smiled at her.
"I am actually married," she replied.
"But definitely not happily married. You know, at some point in a marriage, the spark fades, and the couple starts seeing each other as mere housemates.
