Adrienne knocked lightly on Martin's study door, the sound echoing through the room before she timidly let herself in.
"Hey," she greeted him, a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Hey beautiful," Martin looked up from his desk and offered her a warm smile, causing a faint blush to appear on her cheeks.
Adrienne stood by the window, gazing outside at the sprawling mansion before them. Her fingers gently traced the outline of the glass, as if memorizing every detail.
"I am definitely going to miss this house," she murmured softly.
Martin rose from his seat and approached her from behind, his arms encircling her in a tender embrace. Leaning down, he pressed a gentle kiss to her hair.
"And I'm gonna miss you," he admitted, his voice filled with both longing and regret.
Adrienne turned to face him, her eyes filled with affection. She reached out, her thumb stroking his hands lovingly.
"I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice betraying her nervousness.
