Chapter 38 Regret

When the door opened, Shen Ruoxi was momentarily stunned, looking somewhat listless in front of her.

"Is it time for dinner already?"

Seeing her in such a despondent state, Scar actually believed she had no intention of running away.

"Do you really have no desire to escape?"

He had always thought that prey willing to run were the most satisfying to hunt, but Shen Ruoxi's current state seemed rather dull to him.

He even found Shen Ruoxi's resigned demeanor to be an eyesore.

Scar seemed to be both amused and frustrated by her words; he had never encountered someone so defeatist just from being kidnapped.
