Chapter XVI ۞ Aaron ۞ Part I

Aaron Vaughn-Solomon's point of view

۞۞۞۞۞

I KNOW THIS IS ALL PRETTY much my fault, but if yesterday anyone told me that by the end of this day I would be in fake serious relationship with my infuriating messy and temperamental down stairs neighbor, I would laugh at the person's face. But look at me now. Maybe this will make them leave me for a while and give me some peace.

Although it's hard to think of peace and Thays being related.

It didn't take two hours after I left her apartment and went back to mine, to my four brothers burst into my place. Honestly, I expected this to happen, since they have also been tormenting me because of my love life. And knowing my mom, she would have spread throughout the entire family by now.

When they arrived, I had just dressed into a shirt and pajama pants after taking a cold bath, because I may despise Thays's personality, as she said, but my body seemed to enjoy her more than it should.

Especially my lower body.

"Open up, liar!" It was Luke's voice.

Scoffing, I opened the door and locked after they were all inside. "I see that mother already reached your ears," then I calmly walked to the black velvet big couch on the living room and laid there, still drying my hair with my towel.

Luke and Graham sat on my right, while Ethan and Henry sat on my left, all staring at me in clear annoyance.

"Why didn't you say anything?" Henry requested with his eyebrows up, showing how offended he was feeling now.

Graham exhaled, "Mom said you are together since August, Aaron. What the fuck? It's been months. You've been keeping it from us for months."

"You don't trust us?" Ethan asked crossing his arms.

"Drunk? Definitely not. The four of you have a terrible habit of spilling others secrets while drunk, and you are constantly drunk," I mocked.

Luke glared at me, "Didn't you hate her?"

I grinned, "Love and hate walk side by side."

"But five months? Five? You kept it for five months?" Graham asked again, still with an angry expression. "Come on, brother. If you are so serious, you should have let us meet her before."

"She wanted to wait," rolling my shoulders, I massaged my hair with the towel. "Besides, her family and siblings weren't aware of it either. If it makes you feel better, mom learned about it first than her parents. But I've talked to them earlier when they video called her."

Their relief was visible. "Mom said she's the 7th daughter out of 10 kids. Is it true?" Graham questioned calmer.

I nodded, "Yes. 6 guys and 4 girls with her. Triplets, triplets, her, and triplets again. Quite surprising. All with a year difference between each other."

Ethan leaned forward, "How old is she?"

"27. About 6 months younger than me. Her first three siblings are 29, the second triplets are my age, and the youngest are 26," I motioned to Luke, "your age."

My youngest brother, Henry, bit his bottom lip, "Is she really the Rossetti CEO? From the hotels and resorts? Mom told us that, but we didn't really believe her," I didn't either, but she is.

Scoff, "Yes. She is. She's quite the prodigy. Went to Harvard at 15, and was already owner of a hotel at 17. And it has no connection with her family, since they are in another field of business entirely," I folded my towel and put it aside. "Thays Emmanuelle Rossetti. Born in Brazil with her paternal family being Italian, and that's why her middle and last name."

"Mom said she was a latina with European heritage," Ethan played with his hands. "She also said that the girl is incredibly hot."

I don't knows why, but I didn't like to hear him saying that, even though he doesn't like girls. "She is. Too hot for my health," I mumbled. "Tattooed too. She's also short."

Luke chuckled, "Everyone is short near you."

"True, but she's 5'5. Shorter than mother. And she has a terrible temper, which makes it adorable. So much anger to such a short vessel, tsk."

"You also have a temper, so it suits you," Henry mocked. "I can't imagine you with a calm girl. It's not your type," he's also right.

"At least we don't have to worry with having another sister in law that will be a money digger like that blonde-walking-red-flag," Graham exclaimed. He hates Nicole almost as much as I do, so his hatred is justified.

Well, he's not wrong. Although I am paying her to be with me, but with books. "Does she has any problematic ex we should worry about?" Ethan asked while leaning forward.

I passed my fingers through my hair, "She does has a problematic ex, but we don't need to worry about it. He's far from here in a different continent. And by the video call with her parents and her 8th brother earlier, it was clear that they hate him. Especially her dad, who kept calling him a blonde bag of trash."

Luke coughed, "Seems like you two moved on from blondes to brunettes, hm?"

I rolled my eyes, and glared at him, "And you keep your eyes off my girlfriend, got it? Don't flirt with her or I'll kick your ass."

The second eldest after me grinned, "What? Scared that I'll steal your girl?"

"Not really. She isn't into younger guys, and you are younger than her. I'm pretty confident about the fact that she wouldn't leave me for you," after all, more than 200 books are on the line. "But if you like your head on your neck, don't try anything funny."

Luke's grin grew wider, "Mm-hm."

"Is she in here?" Ethan asked looking around.

"If she were, she would be already here with us. No. She isn't. Thays is right down stairs, on the apartment under mine. I left her sleeping, since I ended up exhausting her quite too much." They all turned crimson right away, "But you will meet her later. Mom told you that she and her family will be going to the island, right?"

My brothers nodded bounced their heads in agreement, "Yeah," Graham exclaimed. "I'm looking forward to it this time. Mom was so excited about you and Thays that she extended it to new year. Not to mention that there will be around 25 people with her, and we've never gathered with so many people."

"G's right," Ethan agreed with him. "I'm excited about the fact that she has such a big family. My boyfriend's family will also join this year. So will the boys girlfriends' families. It'll be quite busy."

Luke pressed his lips together, "You know if her family has any problem with homosexuals? I don't want our brother to be uncomfortable."

"Oh? No. In the call, they asked me the same thing about our family, since she also has siblings that aren't straight. You don't have to worry about that, E," I leaned closer to him and squeezed his hand kindly. "Her 8th brother, who's 26, will be coming with his boyfriend. And the little I talked with him, he was very cool and I'm sure you will be able to befriend him."

His sweet smile warmed my heart. I'm very protective of my siblings, after all. "That's good to know. So, what does her family work on?"
