Audrey stood up and looked at Lake with wide eyes.
"What did you mean he's your son too?" she asked, looking from Lake to Andrew.
Lake sounded at her, "How else would he be my son, Miss Audrey?" Lake asked mysteriously.
Audrey would go crazy in the next second if no one told her that this was all a joke.
"Mom, don't be mad, I asked him to be my dad since I don't have one… I like him a lot and I don't want him to be just a friend to me… I'm sorry I didn't tell you again," Mikhail walked up to Audrey and hugged her leg.
Audrey didn't know how when a sob escaped her lips; she immediately crouched down and hugged her son, hiding her face in his neck.
"Oh, Mikhail… I'm so sorry," she whispered.
She knew her son was lonely, but she never knew to what extent.
No matter how much time she tried to spend with Mikhail, she knew that no amount of time could cover the absence of a father in the boy's life.
