Alpha Lake had ordered the pack warriors to spread out across the borders, asking some to stay behind and guard the safe house where they had moved all the women and children.
He was left with Andrew and Alpha Sebastian by his side.
"You know, maybe you shouldn't have said that to her," Andrew said cautiously.
Alpha Lake glared at him.
"Give me an honest reply, Andrew," He said calmly.
Andrew nodded, waiting for the question.
"If Alex were to be in Audrey's shoes, would you let him go?" He asked, staring right at Andrew to see his expression.
And as he expected, Andrew frowned for a second and then shook his head.
Andrew sighed, "I wouldn't." He replied.
Alpha Lake scoffed, then walked ahead. "Exactly. That's why I can't let her go, Andrew; she's my life; if something happens to her, I'm ending my life in the next second," he said seriously.
Andrew and Alpha Sebastian shared a look behind him.
