William was staring deep in thought at the window. 4 years have passed so quickly.he had come far from his initial point and he was quite proud of his abilities.
What he did find the most interesting was that the more he used magic the easier it gets. Now he could control many objects at once, without feeling any sort of burden.
He also came to a conclusion that by meditating he could increase the effectiveness and the decrease the power required to do these 'spells' . He had finally concluded he was a wizard after looking at the diversity in spells while he also sought any knowledge from books both about science or fiction further enhancing his arsenal of spells.
But as most spells were either party tricks or too extensive to practice in his room there was not much to do.
He was by no means a naive boy he pretended to be, even he, in his short life had come to know of the oppression to anything that surpasses human thinking mainly those things that seem to make mankind cover in fear.
He at one point thought himself as a mutant however, he just seemed to know as if a nagging feeling at the back of his mind. He knew he was a wizard.
However, he too like mutants was different and could do things that were beyond human comprehension. So, like them he too will be publicly persecuted if the fact was to ever be known.
Human fear truly knows no limits and the fear of the unknown is immeasurable.
This fact was proven true as a child no older then ten was dragged by the priest employed by the matron to 'cure' the child who was having panic attacks and rapid mood shifts recently. It seemed as if she feared something, as if fearing something would repeat itself.
The priest was here to 'help' the children 'be normal'. The priest taking advantage of the blind faith would beat the children and accuse some who were perfectly normal. Even the fear of the boogeyman was overshadowed by this man.
Even he was afraid to catch that man's eyes however, he would not sit still if anything untoward happened to him.
Thus he maintained the charming facade he knew would cover anything he does.
It was quite laughable to look at those adults that can easily be manipulated by a children.
Not only his magic but his already good intellect got a huge boost it was as if his body was getting saturated with energy becoming the perfect form of itself. He noticed he needed less sleep, had more energy and his skin tone got healthier and healthier. He had attained what he called 'photographic memory' he just needed to look at text once to remember ot clearly. It had helped him a lot these past few years as the education pattern in school is on the basis of good memory.
He quickly advanced through classes and it was a breeze as he rushed through high school syllabus as most of it relied on memorization and the rest was easy considering his intellect he was waiting for his acceptance letter from the Imperial College London with expectations.
He was even featured in newspapers as the boy genius a prodigy in every way. Flaming and fortifying his growing ego.
As he was going to start university in the coming year he knew that outside the orphanage it was a man eat man world which would not hesitate to chew him out. He applied to the best university possible and being an orphan did help though. Just relying on his charm would not do the job for the rest of his life.
