Rigel sat down on one of the available seats, almost everyone was quiet and squirming in their seats. Realizing he had a brief window of time he looked at the notifications that were somehow minimized at the corner of his eyesight, but as soon as he focused on them his vision was filled with notifications once again.

After reading through everything Rigel sat there with a stunned expression which he quickly hid as he looked down. He read through the Dungeon cleared notification again.

'Computing diversion to the timeline...'

It didn't occur to Rigel before reading the notification that he could disturb the timeline, that there was even a timeline that he could affect. After he got teleported into the canon timeline, he just thought it was an Easter egg or something like that.

'Since the system is calculating the diversion in the timeline, then does this mean the next time I use this particular Dungeon then I would go into a world that was altered by my actions.'

Rigel thought back upon his actions once again, aside from petrifying Petunia and snatching Harry's ticket he didn't actually do anything that should affect the timeline, and even if he did they surely were just minor changes that surely won't affect the major things.

'I'm gonna jinx myself aren't I...'

Rigel groaned once again attracting everyone's attention, Sirius took it as his cue to intervene as he spoke, "I think Rigel and I would go for a little walk around, meet back out in 10?" He threw a questioning look towards James who gave him a pleading look as he nodded.

Leaving his best friend to misery Sirius stood up and made his way out of the house, Rigel quickly followed him in silence. They walked for about 100m before coming across a park, there were several children already playing around running, and catching each other.

"You okay buddy?" Sirius asked as he sat down on a park bench. Rigel sat down beside him and nodded. He wanted to see if he could open his status to sneak a peak at what changed but in the end, he listened to the rational part of his mind and focused on what Sirius was talking about.

"You know when James and I were your age, we were little terrors..." he chuckled as he remembered something, a fond smile lit up his face, "We used to run around pranking the Slytherins, one time we managed to mix up a potion in their shower water, for a whole weak everyone was sporting neon hair."

...

He paused before continuing, "We got a whole week of detention at that time, it was a record for our little back then... after that, we never got a detention that was less than a week." He smiled at Rigel and continued, "I was never the responsible one, the day I first saw you while sneaking into the tree... I don't know how to describe it, James and Lily are my family, before them, I had two more friends and we were the closest people. Those friends were my family, they were the ones who made me want to go through another day, the reason for my smile..."

...

Sirius leaned back and sighed, he closed his eyes for a moment before he looked into Rigel's eyes, "My friends were my family, and even they would happily tell you that I would never cut it as a father, and I'll be honest I am terrified of doing something wrong every day... while I can't promise to be a father figure in your life, I can be your friend, I can be the family that you want or a friend who would share a laugh every now and then." Sirius smiled before he stood up and patted your head.

"Just wanted you to know that... now let's go I have this prank that I wanted to do and..." Sirius continued and then started babbling away. Rigel was still rooted on the spot, he slowly stood up and started walking with Sirius.

'What the Fuck was that!!!'

That came somewhat unexpectedly, he didn't fancy having a moment with a grown-ass man, but the emotions in Sirius's eyes did affect him, Sirius did love/hate his brother. And while he knew that Rigel wasn't Regulus, maybe his unexpected arrival affected him more than Rigel had guessed.

Not that he was totally in touch with his emotions yet, but in the back of his mind Rigel knew that everyone in the Potter family was just a character from a novel. But the eyes never lie, while Rigel was a bit weirded out from the interaction just now, the raw emotion in Sirius's eyes couldn't simply be brushed aside.

Rigel sighed slightly he was too wrapped up in his head and his circumstances that he stopped giving a fuck about what was happening around him. While he wasn't going to start singing birthday songs for everyone, he could at least make a conscious effort to at least extend a helping hand.

The pair arrived in front of the house once again, Rigel spotted the curious looks on several of their faces but they simply walked and joined the group. Lily was the only one still in the house, Rose was practically vibrating as she stood with Harry.

Rigel gave him a curious look and asked, "Sugar?"

Harry almost did a double take before he nodded, "Too many biscuits," he suppressed a wince as he looked down at the hyperactive redhead who was now looking at the two of them with a curious expression. She took a tentative step towards Rigel and put her hands up with a universally understood expression.

'Uhhh... Did anyone tell her that she isn't a little kid anymore?'

Rigel still bend down and picked her up, her weight was still a little too much for him to handle, his body almost collapsed but he felt a hand on his back stabilizing him. He heard Rose snickering as she looked at him, he gave her a deadpanned look as her snickering turned into full-blown laughter. James quickly came to Rigel's rescue and lifted her up and put her on his shoulders.

You mutter thanks to Harry who gave you a nod, the door opened once again and Lily came with Perunia in tow.

"Mom I did magic!" Rose giggled as she jumped on James's shoulders and the group collectively smiled once again.

'Okay so maybe I can tolerate some of them but this is too mushy mushy for me...' Rigel muttered in his mind but the smile on Rose's face was infectious.

As the group enjoyed the atmosphere Lily asked, "So who's ready for a picnic!"
