513 Grim fate

"Best three out of four?" Ron asked frustrated at his string of losses. Nick shook his head "Maybe later , for now though you might want to check to make sure you've got everything for summer break. If you need anything during that time I won't be able to help you at all." he said calmly. "You never did say why you were going to be busy over summer break." Harry pointed out curiously from nearby. "Nothing you all need to worry about." Nick said casually. "You might as well have not said anything at all!" Ron complained.-

Nick shrugged "If you must know I am preparing a trump card for the future so I don't really want to go into details about it." he said honestly. "You are almost as powerful as Dumbledore , what in Merlin's name could you need a trump card for?" Hermione asked confused. "If I'm lucky I won't need it but if I am not then I'd rather have it than not." Nick answered seriously. This was also very true as while it was likely Zeus would end up destroying his body at least once it was also possible that he would never have his body destroyed as well.-

"Anyways you really need to convince your family to move out of London before the end of next year." Nick told Hermione seriously. "Why?" she asked confused. "This thing Grindelwalds doing is going to turn things really ugly in places with a lot of people like that and they might get caught up in the chaos of it all if they stay. If you can I highly advise having them get as far from the city as possible before it starts." Nick warned sternly. "You know what the dark lord is trying to do!?" Ron exclaimed in shock.-

"There's no point in hiding it anymore since from my calculations he should set off the event sometime towards the end of next year. Basically he means to flood the earth with magical energy at a density that hasn't been seen here in a VERY long time. When he does this the muggles are going to be set back centuries on a technological standpoint and even worse is that most of the species of animals and magical beasts on the planet are going to evolve into stronger , smarter and more difficult to control versions in huge numbers."

"Once this happens the wizarding word will be forced into revealing itself and things will get bloody before they calm down. So if you can Hermione it would be for the best if you had your family move near Rons or at the least take refuge with Sirius." Nick said seriously and his friends looked horrified. "What a rotten thing to do." Ron said spitefully and no-one disagreed. "The ministry and Dumbledore must have a plan to stop this from happening right?" Tracy asked hopefully but Nick shook his head. "They have long accepted that they can't stop it and have been preparing for it in hopes of reducing the amount of casualties to come." Nick said honestly.-

"The events of this coming up year will likely be some of the brightest points in wizarding history that will be remembered after this new world order sets in." he added. "How could someone knowingly do something like this?" Luna asked genuinely confused. Nick knew why too as she was innately kind and helpful and simply couldn't imagine the sort of thoughts that would lead one down such a path. "Grindelwald believes this to be the best way for wizarding kind to have a bright future."-

"Sadly his belief is not entirely wrong either. Few probably realize it but with the way the muggles technology is rapidly improving we only have about seven or eight years before they discover our existence and that will end one of a few ways with few of them being positive. In fact there is a good chance that the muggles will go to war with us with the intention of wiping us out entirely." Nick explained honestly. "How can you say that!?" Hermione asked offended by the implication behind what he said.- 

"Muggles have committed genocide and enslaved others for things as little as a different religion , skin color and simply because they wanted what the others had all throughout history. The only difference between then and now is that they have gotten more efficient in killing each other so what do you think they would do when they discover that magic is very much real and that wizards have something they can't have themselves? I can tell you now it's not going to be smile and embrace us with open arms. It may well become another dark age for wizard kind and I honestly can't see us survive it in any meaningful capacity." Nick said sternly.
