Damn they grow up quick
Date: 18th October 1968
Valen aged 8 years old.
"Valen come out your super cool cousin is here to see you!!!".
"LILYYYYY you're here" Valen shouted running to Lily as he pounced on her, which she then enveloped him into a hug.
"God your strong its only been 3 months why are you so big now" she pouted, as she felt she hadn't grown an inch (even though her parents told her that girls hit their growth spurt first).
"Anyways I've made a new friend he's outside would you like to play with us in the park he can show us some Magic" she hinted, knowing the boy loved magic every time a magician pulled a rabbit out a hat but this time what she would show him would blow his tiny cute mind.
"MAGIC!!, lets go RIGHT NOW" Valen exclaimed.
"Mom I'm going out with Lily ill be back by 6 okay" Valen said as he ran to his mother Valerie and kissed her on the cheek.
"Okay but no later then 6 honey".

3RD PERSON POV
Date: 20th November 1969
As Valen walked up to the Snape house in Spinners' end he saw a darkness in the house he'd been here many time before and new the situation well even though Lily for some reason was oblivious to it and so he sorted out a genius plan for it. He may have only been 8, but although he didn't know it, he was way to mature for his age and a natural born genius. This was proven time and time again as he absorbed Magical knowledge like a sponge. Over the last year from the day he found out he could be a wizard, as he learnt from Aunty Eileen and the books she had.
As he entered the house he saw a boy slightly taller than him eating his lunch and a skinny pale women washing the dishes with her back turned.
"Hey Severus, Aunty Eileen, how you doing?" questioned Valen.
"What could you possibly want now you literally read all the books I have and already bloody mastered them", Severus sighed as he questioned the kids monstrous talent.
"Now Now Severus none of that" she softly spoke as she turned her head and spoke kindly to the little white haired boy "How are you doing little Valen".
"Im great Aunty" he smiled as he readied himself to help his friend and favourite aunty.
"But I've come to talk about something serious" he spoke in a calm yet cold tone.
"Firstly Severus is your Father home." He said calmly.
"No he is not why would want to see him?" he questioned as his eyebrows rose not like you could see it though behind his black greasy hair.
"Because I've spoke to my dad who is the deputy chief police and he has issued an arrest warrant for your father on the crimes of domestic violence and child abuse and I had my mother file for divorce and custody on Aunty Eileen's behalf".
The room stood quiet as the mother and son processed what Valen had said. They were shocked as they didn't even know he knew and for the fact this little kid was mature and caring.
"But how for an arrest you need proof and for a divorce you need signatures?", Eileen questioned as she tried many time before thinking of how to get away from that bastard Tobias. But its not like she cared she only used her life as an oath not to try and leave or harm Tobias and to never use magic again.
As Valen was ready to explain himself he started speaking in a almost robotic yet childish tone.
"Firstly, I realised after I came one night to surprise you guys and I saw Severus all bruised so I came by the next day and left a tape recorder to record the sound which I borrowed from my dad".
"Then for the signatures that was easy I just used magic that was not that hard for either you or Tobias same with the custody"
"Thirdly I spoke to Mum and although she knows about my magic as she is my parent I just begged her and that I'd never use magic to forge documents or steal or spy".
"So now I officially declare you free aunty". Valen cheered.

Eileen POV
'What a caring, cunning, courages and intelligent child the sorting hat is going to face many difficulties with him' she sighed.
'But still he did the impossible maybe Severus can have a good year before he gets to Hogwarts and I can reconcile with my parents but to all of this I owe him greatly and to Valen I would do him any favour'.

Severus POV
'I always found him annoying as he was nothing like Lily coupled with his ingenious brain but I must admit I judged him terribly, I always growled at him but meanwhile he was trying to save me and mother and I'd now probably always be grateful to him and his family'
'Damn now I gotta repay him somehow Merlin how the hell did this kid pull this off.'
