Woo~!

Not long after Wayne sat down, the train's whistle sounded again and started on time at eleven o'clock.

After the two exchanged names, they began chatting. Cedric was a typical Hufflepuff: kind and enthusiastic. After learning that Wayne was a young wizard born into a Muggle family, he shared a lot of basic knowledge that new students at Hogwarts should know.

"Don't be too nervous. The professors at the school are all very good people. Well, most of them are," Cedric added quickly, remembering a certain greasy middle-aged Potions Professor. He didn't want Wayne to hold it against him later.

Next, Cedric introduced the different houses at the school to Wayne.

"Professor McGonagall is usually very strict, but as long as you attend class seriously and don't disrupt it, she is also very approachable. She usually vents her anger on the Gryffindor students," Cedric said.

"Professor Flitwick has an interesting personality. By the way, it's said he has goblin blood, but don't mention his height," Cedric advised.

"As for Professor Sprout, she is very gentle. The only thing she cares about is the plants in the greenhouse. She doesn't mind whether or not the house points are deducted," Cedric explained.

"Professor Snape... let's skip him. Just stay away from him."

"Wayne, do you have a favorite house?" Cedric asked.

"Hufflepuff. I've read 'Hogwarts: A History.' Muggle-born wizards are usually sorted there," Wayne said openly, revealing his preference. He had chosen between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, but ultimately decided on Hufflepuff.

Although human wisdom is important, Hufflepuff's lounge is right next to the kitchen! As long as you want to study hard, knowledge is available in any house, but the kitchen is always there.

Gryffindor and Ravenclaw are located in the towers at the top of the castle. If he got hungry, Wayne would have to go all the way to the basement to find food, which is very inconvenient.

After hearing his words, Cedric was visibly happier.

"What a wise choice. I guarantee that your school life will be extremely happy, because Hufflepuff is the best house!"

"We can't pretend we didn't hear that!"

A joking voice came from the door. The compartment door opened, and two little wizards walked in, one after the other. They looked exactly the same, with fiery red hair and identical expressions.

"Fred, George," Cedric greeted awkwardly. "Long time no see."

Although he hadn't said anything bad about other houses, it still made him a little embarrassed to be heard praising his own house.

"Ah!" One of the twins spread his arms and made an exaggerated expression.

"Let me see, who is this?"

The other immediately responded, "Idiot! You don't even know him!"

"This is the top student of the grade for two consecutive years, a model student in the eyes of all teachers and parents, Mr. Diggory!"

It was like a comedy routine between the two of them, one responding to the other. Wayne watched with great interest. Cedric, on the other hand, had his ears turning red and wanted to find a place to hide.

He quickly grabbed the two who wanted to say more and whispered through gritted teeth, "What are you two doing? Save some face for me in front of my juniors!"

Yes, Cedric had also determined that Wayne would most likely join Hufflepuff, and of course, he needed to protect his image.

"Tch," Fred curled his lips. "Now you care about saving face because your father is bragging about your achievements to our mother."

"Do you know how difficult it was for George and me this summer?"

Cedric sighed and let go of Fred's sleeve. He knew he was in the wrong.

His father showed off his son's achievements to everyone. Now the entire Ministry of Magic knew that the Diggory family had a talented young wizard.

"Tell me, how can you let me go?" Cedric asked resignedly.

The twins looked at each other and high-fived excitedly. Their plan had worked.

"Hand over all your summer homework before class tomorrow."

"We've been looking for you for half a month, but you weren't home. Mom said you went to the United States to become a vampire. Is that true?"

"Of course, it's fake," Cedric said angrily. He took his schoolbag from the luggage rack and handed the homework to them.

After putting their things away, the twins had no intention of leaving. The Diggory and Weasley families both lived in the same village, separated by a mountain, so they were practically neighbors. Even though they were not in the same house, they were quite familiar with each other.

Then, they turned to Wayne.

"Hello, I am Fred Weasley, and he is George Weasley," Fred introduced himself with a thumbs up. "You are so good-looking, much better than our younger brother, who is also a first-year student this year."

George added, "The one with red hair and freckles is our brother Ronald. I hope you get sorted into Gryffindor. That's the best house."

Wayne was noncommittal. "Everyone praises their own house like that, but I don't think there's a big difference."

With the twins present, the compartment became lively. These two had a unique charm; no matter how loud they were, they didn't irritate people, except for their prank targets. But they wouldn't prank Wayne for no reason. Firstly, they had just met and weren't that familiar yet. Secondly, Wayne hadn't even started school, so there was no sense of accomplishment in bullying him.

The train was getting faster, and soon enough, the snack seller came over with a trolley. Wayne bought Berti Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Super Bubble Gum, Chocolate Frogs, and a few pumpkin pasties for a total of ten Sickles and six Knuts.

The train had departed at eleven o'clock, and by the time it arrived at Hogwarts, it was already evening. He had both snacks and lunch during the journey. The salesperson put the items on the table, and Wayne invited the others to eat with him without being polite.

Cedric and the twins couldn't help but enjoy the treats with him. This quickly brought Wayne closer to the three of them. The twins had a tacit understanding and were ready to intensify their approach with Wayne.

Cedric noticed something strange and wanted to stop the twins. But when he heard George's question, his expression became puzzled.

"Wayne, do you know? You are not actually a real Hogwarts student yet."

"Only after passing the rigorous test can you be considered truly admitted."
