Modern Alchemy: Modern Alchemy is metaphysical in nature, unlike its older counterpart which dealt with both material and metaphysical transformations. However, the material part of the transformative nature of Old Alchemy was deemed useless by Paracelsus during the creation of Modern Alchemy due to the presence of the transfiguration branch of wanded magic.

Panchtatva and Elemental Symbols: Modern Alchemy is deeply rooted in the concept of "Panchtatva" of India. These elemental symbols are assigned different concepts or aspects and play a crucial role in alchemical processes:
Aether represents Life, Soul, Mind, Body, Death, etc.
Fire embodies Heat, Light, Purification, Wrath, and Love, etc.
Water is associated with Blood, Healing, Flows, Cycles, Combinations, etc.
Wind encompasses Communication, Kinesis, Sky, Lightning, Independence, etc.
Earth embodies Protection, Gravitation, Strength, Absorption, Harmony, etc.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Transmutation Circles: Alchemists in your world use Transmutation Circles, drawn with chalk or ink, to perform their magical work. These circles are a fundamental part of alchemical arrays. The circles vary in size, with the smallest being the first to activate and the largest being the last. The arrangement and symbols within these circles determine the specific alchemical transformation.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seven Primary Metals: Modern Alchemy involves the use of seven primary metals, each linked to a specific concept and element:
Lead is associated with impurity and versatility, being the "Jack of all Trades."
Mercury responds well to aspects of the Water Element.
Iron responds well to aspects of the Fire Element.
Copper responds well to aspects of the Earth Element.
Tin responds well to aspects of the Wind Element.
Silver responds well to aspects of the Aether Element.
Gold is the "Master of all trades.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Philosopher's Stone: This legendary alchemical artefact is a pinnacle of Old Alchemy, and it's rumoured that only the creator of Modern Alchemy replicated the feat. The Philosopher's Stone can be used to transmute any metal into Gold and can be used to create the Elixir of Life.
---------------------------------------------------
Secondary Elements: There are many secondary elements, like Antimony, Bismuth, Salt, etc. Most of these elements are used in the non-spiritual parts of old alchemy which is considered redundant due to the development of the Transfiguration magic of the Wanded Branch of Magic.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Applications of Modern Alchemy:
1) Creation of Golems, Homunculii and new magical creatures.
2) Creation of Magical Metals.
3) Creation of magical artifacts that last longer than enchanted or charmed objects.
4) Creation of Elixirs.
