SPELL TESTING

[Southern gate of Hogsmeade]

Ryan apparated in front of the gate, only to be greeted by six dark wizards in masks. There was a barrier around that area, making them invisible. But not in the eyes of a Necromancer. He could see the dead and sense the spirits clinging around those wizards.

They were performing some kind of rituals near the gate and the stench of blood was thick in the air. There were two dead bodies, lying inside the ritual circle. From the looks of it, that's a summoning ritual that requires sacrifices. Two of the dark wizards were using bloodied knives to carve symbols on their skin while chanting arcane incantations. The rest were standing guard, making sure no one could enter their location.

"Hello there," Ryan simply waltzed in there and entered their barrier with ease, "Uumm... Wow! That's a summoning circle, isn't it? What are you fuckheads summoning?"

Upon realizing that there was a stranger, the wizards turned around and stared at Ryan in shock. They clearly didn't expect anyone to intrude upon them.

"Who dares?!" The leader of the group asked aggressively.

"I'm the boy next door," Ryan replied jokingly.

"Avada Kedavra," The leader aimed his wand and sent the killing curse toward him. The bright green curse flew straight toward him at lightning speed but Ryan took out his wand in time and deflected it back to the leader with ease. He dodged it in time but the guy behind him wasn't so lucky. He died on the spot. "Impossible! How can you deflect the killing curse?" The leader cried out in utter disbelief, "Who the hell are you?"

"Oh, are we playing question and answer again? Why are we playing this silly little game?" Ryan shook his head with disapproval.

"Answer him before you regret crossing the death eaters," Another man threatened him threateningly.

"Seriously, that's all the scaring you guys can muster up? Anyway, got a lady waiting for me. I gotta prepare something special, so... I'm afraid I gotta kill you all right now," Ryan pointed his wand toward them, "Vincula Umbra!"

Immediately, dozens of black chains came bursting out from the ground and attacked the death eaters or dark wizards whoever they were, binding their bodies. They tried to resist, but the restraining chains were too strong. Not only did it restrain their movements, but it also made them immobile.

"What kind of spell is this? Can't move!" The dark wizards began to struggle, trying to break free, but it was useless.

"Now, I'm gonna kill you guys with a new curse. You are gonna feel pain... Pain beyond anything you've ever imagined. A pain that makes you wish you were dead already... Alright, enjoy, Mortis Amplexus," Ryan said ominously as a black substance emerged from his wand and splattered against their chests, forming a strange symbol before fading away into thin air.

Their eyes were full of fear and terror as they could not believe what was about to happen. Before the curse took its toll on them, they felt extreme pain radiating through every single part of their bodies, causing them to scream in agony. But Ryan manipulated the chains and wrapped them around their mouth, denying them of screaming. "Quiet, please. You guys might be drawing attention."

Those dark wizards began to spasm as they felt their muscles tearing apart from the inside. It was as if someone was deboning them slowly but very painfully. It didn't stop there, since the curse also caused them to bleed, blood began trickling down from every pore of their bodies. Blood gushed from their mouths, their noses, even their eyes and ears. Their skin began to corrode as if their own blood had turned acidic. Within less than a minute, they died unable to resist or scream.

After their death, only their skeletons remained in the end, wrapped in magic chains.

"Well, easier than I expected. I hoped for them to struggle a bit more or maybe try to fight back... Oh, well..." He walked over to the skeletons. It's time to test his undead-raising curse. This is the first time he is going to use it on humans, or more specifically, skeletons. "Servitium Mortuorum." He touched their heads with the tip of his wand. Immediately, he could feel the connection with the skeletons, as a burst of black mist swept over the place.

He could see the wailing spirits of the wizards who had recently passed away, writhing around in agony as their souls were forcefully pulled back into those skeletons, being reanimated as undead minions. The process seemed painful and Ryan watched the whole thing like a bystander. In a few moments, the process had been finished, and the skeletons began to show movements. Ryan removed the restraining spell.

"Take up your wands and kill each other again," He ordered with a wicked smile plastered on his face. "Just keep blasting each other and don't hurt anyone. The last one remaining will continue to blast itself with magic. Now, dance, you motherfucking skeletons."

The six skeletons picked up their wands again and began to cast spells and curses at each other, causing a commotion big enough to attract the attention of the village's wizards and the guards. Ryan apparated out of there after successfully testing the magic he wanted to test.

.

.

Ryan apparated inside his house, "Well, time to prep up for the dinner date." He took a quick bath and wore a new set of clothes that he bought last week. After that, he took out his wand and waved it. A bright yellow light swept over the house, cleaning everything instantly. He adjusted his messy hair once again before walking toward the kitchen.

"Ok, everything is ready. Just need to pick her up," He mumbled to himself as he could hear the ongoing commotion outside. The explosion of spells must have startled the entire village. He locked the door and apparated in front of Madam Puddifoot's cafe. She just closed the shop and came running to him.

"What's going on?" He asked her with a confused expression. "Dark wizards, again?"

"Don't know. The guards told the citizens to stay inside and close the shops. And considering the explosions, it must be them," She replied.

"We can't stay here," Ryan extended his arm toward her and she promptly took his hands into her, entwining their fingers. Then they both disapparated and appeared at the gate of his house.

"Welcome to my humble home, miss," He bowed respectfully and invited her inside.

"Hmmm... Quite nice and cozy," She praised. "But can you not talk like that? It's kinda awkward. I prefer the real Ryan." She giggled a little, enjoying the view of his surprised expression.

"Oh, come on, I thought girls like gentlemen. I practiced that line like ten times and that bowing motion took me half an hour to master. You are just breaking my heart, Miss."

"I... I'm sorry!" She stammered seeing Ryan's sad face.

"Ha. Got you," He laughed, "It was supposed to be funny."

"Don't prank me like that," She was startled, but she let out a small giggle. She could only give him a weak hit in response while her cheeks were blushing a little. It was her fault. She never had friends, to begin with, other than Ryan and a couple of her regular couples at her cafe, so she really had no idea how to react.

"You really need to loosen up a little. Don't be that stiff, but then again, you are always too hard for your own good," He stood up and extended his hand toward her, "Let's eat first. You must be starving after all that work."

She nodded, grabbed his hands, and stood up, following him to the dining room.

Ryan waved his wand. An instant later, the fireplace flickered up and a nice warm, amber-colored fire kept the room alight. Along with it, multiple plates of food and two wine glasses appeared in a small puff of smoke.

"Impressive," She whispered and watched as everything was neatly laid on the table.

"Hope you will enjoy the meal," He smiled warmly, pulling out a chair for her, but she was still flustered because he looked handsome when he smiled, it made him even more charming than his usual self, so she ended up looking down on the ground instead.

Ryan didn't bother and helped her into a seat then went to his and sat down.

They enjoyed a nice dinner while talking about each other, getting to know more about each other.
