Harry Potter: Hogwarts Professor

After experiencing rebirth and living for eighteen years, Goldfinger awoke to find himself in the world of Harry Potter. Eisen decided to take on the role of a lay professor at Hogwarts. Little did he anticipate the astonishing power of his "golden finger," which enabled him to extract and replicate extraordinary properties from magical artifacts. Eisen began by extracting the spellcasting abilities from wands and the immortality properties from the Philosopher's Stone. His intention was to lead a simple life in the wizarding world, utilizing these powers discreetly. However, his curiosity led him to extract the time-travel capabilities from the Time Turner. Excited and intrigued, Eisen embarked on his first journey through time, unaware of the adventures and challenges that awaited him in the past, present, and future of the magical realm.

Chapter 9: Extraordinary Attributes of Magical Items

Previously, when purchasing an astronomical telescope, Eisen suddenly remembered that there was also a kind of telescope in the wizarding world. For instance, at Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, they sold a brass telescope. However, unlike the Muggle telescopes, the brass telescope was imbued with magic, not only allowing one to see things that Muggle telescopes couldn't, but also capable of folding itself at will.

Coincidentally, Eisen still had a miracle attribute, so he decided to buy a brass telescope and try to replicate its attribute. After all, although the brass telescope was not the same as a wand, they were both magical items.

Subsequently, Eisen spent five Galleons to purchase the latest brass telescope. According to the shopkeeper, the brass telescope had been enchanted with magic, enabling it to ignore atmospheric disturbances and observe the lunar surface directly.

When Eisen held the brass telescope in his hands, a pop-up window unsurprisingly appeared before him.

"Discovered Extraordinary Attribute – Superior Range Enhancement Attribute. Consume one Miracle Attribute to replicate?"

Seeing this result, Eisen's mind was already filled with various conjectures. The Range Enhancement Attribute, as the name suggested, was probably an attribute that allowed one to see far away. In Eisen's view, this attribute could be integrated into the eyes, enabling one to see extremely far distances.

For instance, directly observing the moon? However, after contemplating for a while, Eisen felt that it was unlikely.

Because if the Range Enhancement Attribute allowed him to directly see the moon, it would be too overpowered. Moreover, he couldn't confirm whether the Range Enhancement Attribute had the same effect as the brass telescope in ignoring clouds and atmospheric interference.

Some might argue that in the wizarding world, being able to see far away didn't seem very useful. Upon careful consideration, it did seem that way. Because being able to see far didn't have any relation to a wizard's ability to fight or flee.

Was it possible to cast a spell from hundreds of miles away and defeat an enemy just by seeing them from a distance? Obviously not. If that were the case, wouldn't the Range Enhancement Attribute be practically useless?

While this was true, in Eisen's opinion, if the Range Enhancement Attribute was combined with Apparition, it would be incredibly powerful. After all, Apparition in the Harry Potter world was a magical means of instantaneous transportation.

To Apparate to a certain location, one must be extremely familiar with the destination. Otherwise, attempting to Apparate solely based on photographs would greatly increase the risk. However, if one could directly observe the destination, it would be much more convenient.

For example, in a dire situation, Eisen could directly observe the moon and Apparate there, although it seemed absurd on the surface, it was theoretically possible.

However, even if Eisen could actually do it, he probably wouldn't have the courage to risk his life. After all, such an outrageous act was indeed quite dangerous.

So, should he replicate this attribute or not? Originally, he had planned to wait until he officially started classes at Hogwarts and then find a house-elf to attempt replication. But he didn't expect the second replicable attribute to appear so quickly.

Thinking about this, Eisen decided to put away the brass telescope for now. Not because he was giving up on the Range Enhancement Attribute, but because he wanted to prepare to visit the Hogwarts kitchen and conduct an experiment with a house-elf first.

Afterwards, Eisen went to Hogwarts. However, after struggling for half an hour, he had to return to Diagon Alley once again. There was no choice, even though he had a Miracle Attribute, he discovered that he couldn't extract any attributes from house-elves.

"It seems I can only try to find a way from magical items," Eisen sighed at this realization.

"Wow, that's the latest Nimbus Two Thousand!" Just as Eisen was wandering around, about to leave, a voice suddenly reached his ears. Turning his head, Eisen noticed a group of young wizards admiring broomsticks.

However, Eisen's expression immediately became peculiar. Because he suddenly realized that broomsticks were also magical items, and they possessed the ability of flight. In that case, couldn't the Miracle Attribute replicate the ability of flight? Without regard for the odd looks from others, Eisen directly touched the Nimbus Two Thousand.

As a result, the golden finger indeed prompted Eisen that he had discovered the Superior Flight Attribute.

Suddenly, Eisen's mind opened up. Indeed, previously when he was considering the Range Enhancement Attribute of the brass telescope, he had considered a fatal flaw.

This flaw was the inability to see through obstructions! Yes, the Range Enhancement Attribute was not X-ray vision. In that case, if he only wanted to stand on the ground and utilize the Range Enhancement Attribute to observe a distant destination and then Apparate there, there would be limitations due to buildings obstructing the line of sight.

Unless he ran to a high place every time before a battle. But obviously, that was not very feasible. Therefore, if he wanted to use the Range Enhancement Attribute in combination with Apparition during a battle with other wizards, unless he truly intended to go to the moon as he had imagined, it wouldn't be an ideal combination.

But if he had the ability of flight, he could directly take off from the battlefield and observe distant locations from above. This way, utilizing Apparition would be much more convenient.

To give an extreme example, if Eisen were fighting Voldemort and found himself outmatched, he could immediately take flight, then use the Range Enhancement Attribute and Apparition to escape.

Thinking about this, Eisen felt a sense of awe himself. Because he suddenly realized that the Miracle Attribute function of the golden finger was incredibly powerful, practically like a cheat code.

For instance, Harry Potter's Invisibility Cloak could be replicated into an Invisibility Attribute. The Philosopher's Stone could replicate a Midas Touch Attribute. As for directly replicating an immortality attribute, Eisen couldn't be certain. Because Nicolas Flamel achieved immortality by using the Philosopher's Stone to create the Elixir of Life, not directly from the Stone itself.

So, Eisen couldn't confirm if the Philosopher's Stone could replicate an immortality attribute.

Of course, if the Time-Turner could be subjected to Miracle Attribute replication, would it be possible to replicate a time-travel attribute?

In that case, the Invisibility Cloak, Resurrection Stone, Philosopher's Stone, and so on, all could provide extraordinary attributes! Suddenly, Eisen had a feeling that if he could obtain one extraordinary attribute each year, he would become invincible very quickly.

Unfortunately, he couldn't replicate attributes from living beings. Otherwise, the Apparition ability of house-elves, the deadly screaming ability of Mandrakes, the killing gaze of the Basilisk, the happiness-draining ability of Dementors, and their partial magic immunity, and so on – any overpowered ability Eisen could think of, seemed impossible to replicate.

However, even if he could only replicate attributes from magical items, Eisen had already fallen into a dilemma. Because although he felt that the immortality attribute of the Philosopher's Stone was unlikely to be replicated, he still wanted to try.

Otherwise, the Philosopher's Stone would be destroyed by Dumbledore in June 1992. More importantly, there was only one Philosopher's Stone in the world. If Eisen replicated attributes from other magical items now, he would have to wait until July 1992 for the next Miracle Attribute to recover.

In other words, unless Eisen saved this Miracle Attribute now, by the time the next one recovered, the Philosopher's Stone would be gone.

But in that case, whether it was the Range Enhancement Attribute of the brass telescope or other potential attributes from magical items, Eisen would have to temporarily give them up. And for Eisen, who was eager to increase his strength, this choice was a "waste."

However, after contemplating for a while, Eisen decided not to use this Miracle Attribute for now. Of course, there were two main considerations. The first, naturally, was not wanting to miss the attribute of the Philosopher's Stone. Even though the possibility of obtaining immortality was small, it was currently the only way, so he didn't want to give it up.

The second point was that Eisen felt the dangers he would encounter at Hogwarts within a year were extremely limited. With these considerations, Eisen felt that delaying the attribute integration by a year wouldn't be a big deal.

With this decision made, Eisen no longer agonized over it and returned to the Leaky Cauldron.

Since he had seen Harry Potter and Hagrid, it meant that there was about a month left until the start of the Hogwarts term.

In fact, when Eisen mentioned during the interview that he wanted the young wizards to know what it means to be in awe, it was actually just empty talk. Because magical abilities did indeed far surpass those of Muggles.

But in this real world, as time progressed and the internet and technology exploded, the wizarding world would inevitably be exposed to Muggles. At that point, conflict would be unavoidable, and Eisen found the potential consequences very difficult to predict.

Obviously, being inclined towards becoming invincible through prudent means, Eisen naturally hoped his living environment could remain stable. Although his prudence wasn't true cowardice, who wouldn't want to safely explore the ways of magic?

Therefore, if he could instill some insights into the young wizards in advance, Eisen was quite willing to do so.
