9 'Teaching'
Percy as the perfect of Gryffindors house started giving a speech about rules and regulations, which was booed by all the house members, except the first years. As they, still listened to Percy's speech diligently.
Under the constant booing of his housemates, Percy also knew, he will likely destroy the mood of others and quickly summarized his speech and welcomed all the newcomers to the house officially.
After that, all the seniors gave a huge cheer of welcome to new members. Later all the first years started to interact with their seniors so that they can gain some important knowledge on all things that are going on Hogwarts.
Some seniors, who knew Edward's background also came to him and welcomed him to the house personally. This caused some people curious about Edward's identity and started muttering themselves, this mutter finally erupted into huge roar making people who knew about Edward to tell the ignorant's of his identity.
After they completed their dinner, Edward, Harry, Ron, and hermione walked to their dorm under the worshipful eyes of some first and second years who came from muggle families.
Reaching the dorm, Edward first fed egsy with some fish and directly went to the bathroom to take bath. By the time he came, harry, ron and hermione are already waiting for him. Neville also couched nearby feeding Trevor.
"We have been waiting for you for some time, what are you doing inside the bathroom, why does it take that much time for you to bath?"
Hermione asked with some curiosity, as Edward almost took half an hour to take a simple bath.
"Why are you guys waiting for me?"
Edward ignored Hermione's question and in return asked their purpose, looking at ron and harry.
"Did you forgot already? you told us that you will teach spells to us."
When Harry is about to respond, Hermione again chimed in to respond towards the Edwards question.
Seeing this, Harry and ron knew hermione is going to suffer by that spell, 'Petrificus totalous'.
Yes, they expected correctly but it was only half correct. Because hermione stunned for a while, but not because of that spell, but because of Edward's actions.
WHACK!!!!
After hearing hermione answer, this time Edward didn't take any wand to put spell on hermione. Instead, he simply walked behind hermione and gave a spank on her tiny butt.
First, hermione got stunned for 5 seconds, by what happened. Later, she looked at Edward with almost crying eyes, because of the pain assaulted on her butt. She looked at Edward wanted to say something, but didn't speak. If she were to open her mouth, the tears in her eyes that she stopped from falling, threatened to fall almost instantly.
"I already told you, don't interrupt me when I am speaking. If you want to talk, let me finish my conversation with others, I will listen to whatever you say. If you are not going change, this time it's only a single one but next time...."
Listening up to that, hermione also understands where she did wrong. But what can she do, it's because of her habitual nature, it will take some time.
"I-i am sorry. Next time, don't hit me, it's painful."
She said to Edward in a voice that almost become a whisper.
Surprised by her response, harry, ron and Edward looked at her and smiled.
"Its a deal then, I won't spank you and you will listen to what I say then."
Seeing that Edward smiled, hermione nodded her head in consent and also smiled.
"When will we start to practice magic spells?"
Harry asked with intense thriving in his voice, while ron and hermione also nodded their heads.
"As there aren't any big spells you can learn now, we can practice them in our house. But don't expect to learn spells easily, I will tell all the spells that I have learned. You can choose any three spells for now, after you have learned all three, I will give you more spells."
After saying that, he looked at harry, hermione and ron. Before taking out his notes, and gave it to them.
Inside the notes, they saw 6 spells that he learned in his house and their description.
Ron was the first to respond,
"I will choose Expelliarmus, Protego and Petrificus totalous. As I am already training in martial arts and I can also learn some offensive spells in the first year. I think those three are the best choice for me."
Edward was surprised by Ron's choice, in Edwards memory, Ron was always a jealous and petty person.
Edward nodded his head indicating that he will teach him those spells.
"I will also go with those spells." Said harry.
"You can't learn 'petrificus totalous' spell yet, you don't have as much magic as in Ron's. You also can't learn diffindo spell, as this spell needs more magic than petrificus totalous. Even ron can't learn this spell. Hermione, you also can't learn those spells, as you also only have the magic the same as harry. But, don't worry as you start practicing magical spells, you will be easily able to increase your magical energy."
Edward encouraged them, as he doesn't want them to slack off.
"Then I will choose the Stupefy as my third spell!" Harry said.
Edward looked at hermione with expectant eyes.
" I will choose the first two spells the same as them. But for the last one, I will also choose Stupefy. it will help us stun others for a second or two right?"
Edward nodded his head with approval in his looks.
"Then, let's start with the expelliarmus spell. All you have to do is follow the pattern that I indicate and remember it. Next release the magical energy from your cores through the patterns or formations that I have indicated, while also saying the spell correctly...." As edward explained the first two spells to them. He gave them the book of the spell with the pattern to study.
"For today, you practice with these two spells. As you guys already have abundant magical energy for that spells to learn, I will expect you guys to learn it in two weeks."
The dumb trio nodded their heads, indicating that the job is going to be done. After that they started practicing spells with resolute expressions on their faces, making edward amused by this scene.
"I can already control all those six spells perfectly, even without using a wand. Now, I should choose some more spells to practice, so that I can practice many more patterns. That may help me to get new enlightenment on new spells."
Thinking up to that point, he took out the charms, curses, and spellbooks that his grandpa has collected for almost 2 years. He went through all the spells, charms and curses, he again selected six more spells to his practice.
1. Accio - A summoning charm used to summon objects or beings, either by their names or can also summon them if they are in a caster sight of view.
2. Depulso - A banishing charm that can banish an object or living being far away from the caster.
3. Alarte Ascendare - A charm that shoots the target high into the air, its either living being or inanimate object.
4. Appare Vestigium - Reveals traces of magic, including footprints and trace marks.
5. Disillusionment charm - Causes the target to blend in surroundings like a chameleon.
6. Oblivate - A memory charm used to remove certain specific memories from the victim.
After selecting these spells, edward looked at all the spell patterns indicated in the books and started memorizing them. After some time he memorized all of them and looked towards the trio who are still engulfed in their practice.
"Of these six spells, I can easily learn four spells in two weeks as their requirements are Light indigo core, but Accio and Depulso spells are fourth-year charms. Almost all the fourth years are Dark indigo cored magicians, while some of them are in the final stage of the indigo core. If I want to learn those spells, I at least need to be in medium indigo core. But, it won't take me much time to reach the medium indigo core, at most in one month, I can become a medium indigo cored magician."
Thinking that he got out of his dilemma whether to select or not. He chose as those two charms are more useful for him, even though he can only become a medium indigo cored magician by the time he starts learning those two spells. He has precise control over his magical energy.
"Appare Vestigium spell and Tracelessio have some similar patterns. If I can study them properly, I can probably be able to find a way to the problem of finding ways without losing."
He was still embarrassed by what happened in the morning and swore to find out a spell so that it can lead him directly to the classes.
Pondering sometime over the patterns of Appare Vestigium and tracelessio, he didn't find any clues to the new spell. Later, He cleared his head from all distracting thoughts and started practicing spells like the trio.
As he was doing this practice, he was suddenly enlightened by something when practicing the spell, Appare Vestigium. As he was overjoyed by the sudden enlightenment, he made a sound that was so high pitched.
This sound was attracted by all the people in the house. The nearby trio stopped practicing their magic and looked at edward weirdly, while the Neville jumped from his sitting position, with fright written all over his face.
