The Hogwarts Express

After getting up and getting dressed, Edward immediately checked again, all of his Hogwarts supplies and began to put them in his trunk.

Then he came out of the room and headed to the dining table carrying a heavy trunk and a bird cage containing Hermes in it.

"Oh look! isn't this our young wizard?" teased Mrs. Williams.

Hearing that, Edward just smiled and greeted his parents. While eating, Mrs. Williams constantly reminded Edward to send them a letter at least once a week.

"Are we leaving now?" said Mr. Williams while looking at his watch.

After looking at the clock, Edward nodded in agreement, and did not want to arrive late.

...

They reached King's Cross at ten. Edward then put his trunk on the trolley that was already there and pushed it to the station.

After crossing many platforms, they finally reached a barrier where on each side there was a sign from platform number nine and platform number ten.

"Ed, are you sure this is the place?" said Mrs. Williams while looking at the barrier and did not find anything special about it.

"Yes, Hermione had told me that only those who had magic could pass through the barrier towards the Nine and Three Quarter Platform" explained Edward.

Hearing that, Mrs. Williams was a little disappointed because she could not see their son on the train.

After saying goodbye to his parents, Edward began to push the trolley to the barrier. He felt like he was going to hit it, maybe it was because of his nervousness, so he kept pushing the trolley faster while closing his eyes.

Soon Edward heard voices around him and he began to open his eyes.

Standing in front of him is a red steam engine which is currently waiting next to the platform that is now full of crowds.

From here Edward could see, the smoke from the engine hovering above the head of the chattering crowd, while the cats of each color walked here and there between their legs. Owls hooted to one another in a disgruntled sort of way over the babble and the scraping of heavy trunks.

While pushing the trolley, Edward began to stare at everything around him. He was excited because finally he could start his journey to a place where he could learn his magic.

After seeing some of the first carriages filled with students, Edward continued to walk past the crowd until he found an empty compartment near the end of the train.

He began to lift Hermes and his trunk entered the train door and then took it to the compartment at the end of the train.

After putting his trunk into the compartment, Edward then sat next to the window where he could see many students talking to their parents.

From his place, he also saw Hermione who seemed to have just arrived while wearing her Hogwarts robe.

Shortly afterwards emerged from behind the barrier, a group of people with red hair who looked like they were in a hurry.

Seeing Harry and Ron not among the Weasleys, Edward knew they must have been prevented by Dobby the house elf from being able to get past the barrier.

A few minutes later, the train began to move.

When Edward was still enjoying the view from his window, he suddenly heard a knock on the door of his compartment.

Edward thought a knock came from Hermione who was looking for him, but after the compartment door opened, the one standing at the door was not Hermione, but a round-faced boy holding a toad in his hand.

Seeing the boy's face, Edward immediately recognized him. Neville Longbottom.

"Oh, hello, I don't know... there will be someone.... in this compartment" said Neville panting.

"You can sit here if you want" said Edward, when he saw Neville about to leave.

"What do you say?" said Neville after stopping his steps, he still could not believe that someone had offered him a seat.

"Do you need help?" Instead of answering, Edward instead looked at Neville's trunk that seemed heavy enough to make Neville run out of breath to get here.

"Uh... sure!" answered Neville.

Edward immediately took out his wand from behind his shirt and pointed it at Neville's trunk.

"Wow!".

"Beautiful isn't it?".

"Yes, very beautiful!".

"Well, it looks like I have to get used to that name later".

This is the first time Edward will use magic with his wand. He began by focusing his mind and felt every magic power on his body begin to react to the wand in his hand, then Edward confidently recited the spell towards Neville's trunk.

"Wingardium Leviosa!".

The trunk suddenly flew from below and began to float above Neville's head, then Edward made the trunk float into the compartment and began to drop it slowly.

Seeing his first magic succeed, Edward was very satisfied.

"Wow, that's great, especially seeing that you are the first year" said Neville.

"How do you know?" asked Edward curiously.

"I did not see you at last year's sorting ceremony and I am sure you are clearly not a third year student" said Neville confidently.

"Hehe you're right!" smiled Edward, and added after seeing Neville not yet entered the compartment, "Oh, why don't you come in?".

"Okay, thanks!" said Neville as he entered the compartment.

After Neville entered the compartment, they began to get to know each other.

Edward had just wanted to ask Neville about his experience at Hogwarts when suddenly their compartment door opened again, and the person who opened it was Hermione.

"Hi Hermione!" said Edward, waving his hand, "Where are the others?".

"I don't know, it seems like Harry and Ron missed the train" said Hermione while sitting next to Edward.

"Fred, George, and the others?" asked Neville.

"Hai Neville!" said Hermione after seeing Neville "Ginny said only Harry and Ron were not with them when they entered the train. I'm afraid something will happen to them".

"It's okay, Hermione, I'm sure nothing will happen to them, especially Mr. Weasley must have started looking for them now and if they were late, they only needed to send a letter to Hogwarts and tell the Professor" said Edward after seeing Hermione's anxious face.

Hearing Edward's words, Hermione began to calm down.
