Harry Potter and the Fortunate Queen

“You will hear many of his Death Eaters claiming that they are in his confidence, that they alone are close to him, even understand him. They are deluded. Lord Voldemort has never had a friend, nor do I believe that he has ever wanted one,” Dumbledore told Harry Potter with absolute certainty. But what if Voldemort did have a friend? Not just a friend but the friend? A millennia-old wizard, who learned the secret of Hogwarts from the great Four founders, and had his own goals to take over the world? To stop that ancient wizard, an ancient power is called upon . . . in the form of a girl. A Muggle-born at that. Christina Norton has powers beyond anyone's imagination but she is too caught up in the Chosen One Harry Potter's life and catastrophes. But as she starts to uncover the plans of Voldemort, she realizes someone else is working with him. Someone who wants her dead. Why? She doesn't know. She just knows she has to save her loved ones and Hogwarts from Malgino and for that she is ready to go to the end of the world. And fight whoever comes in her way. Warning: It was my first book, so the first volume is going to be a bumpy ride. Things start to change at the end of the second volume, so if you can hang in there till then, welcome. Disclaimer: I neither own the original Harry Potter book series (I mean y'all already know that but still) nor the book cover (I guess I edited it but it doesn't count). Show Some Respect

Colin pulled Luna down as another series of curses flew around them.

"Are you ok?" Colin asked worridly examining Luna. She nodded and he let out a sigh of relief and whispered, "Be careful."

Colin and Luna were hiding and attacking from a window from where they had a perfect view of outside but they were somewhat safe inside the castle. Luna wanted to take Colin further away and somewhere absolutely safe but Colin refused to leave their friends behind. Thus, they settled on this place from where they could still help their friends.

However, now the fight was slowing down. With Bellatrix's death, Voldemort locked in combat with Harry, and Maligno completely frozen in Chris's powers, only a few of Maligno's men were putting up any sort of fight but it was clear even they were losing heart. But after two wizards were thrown back far far away trying to get close to Maligno, nobody was really rushing to help Maligno.

Colin guessed Chris's powers had probably created a force field around her and Maligno, which was why nobody could reach them. But that didn't stop Maligo's most loyal. Colin noticed Stormy, who probably just became conscious after hitting her head when Chris's powers threw her away, staggered forward to help her master. At first, Colin wasn't concerned as the ones previously tried were thrown back so far that he wasn't even sure they were alive, so there was no way Stormy could harm Chris. But as Stormy got closer and closer to Chris's force field, Colin saw her muttering something and pulling out a knife from her robe.

Even from this far, Colin could see it was no ordinary knife, it was crackling with magic and immediately all warning bells went off in his head.

"Luna, we have to help Chris!" Colin said standing up but Luna stopped him.

"We don't know if we can even go that close to Chris without being thrown away. We don't know how Chris's new powers going to react to us. And I don't think Stormy can harm her when Chris is so strong."

Colin didn't want to agree with Luna as he had a gut feeling that Stormy's knife could do some serious damage but he nodded at Luna hesitantly. She was right, there was a chance Chris's powers wouldn't recognize them and hurt them, and later Chris would blame herself for that. So Colin decided to wait hoping Luna was right about all of it and Stormy could do nothing to Chris.

As Colin and Luna watched Stormy encircled Chris and Maligno while still muttering something. Finally, when she approached the force field, Colin saw her struggling as if she was fighting to stand there as Chris's powers pushed her away but this time she looked prepared. She pulled back her arm holding the knife and plunged the knife onto the force field with full force. Stormy let out a powerful scream as she fought against the force of Chris's unnatural powers.

Colin was already on his feet and this time so was Luna. They didn't even need to look at each other to know what they were going to do. They were going to fight Stormy no matter how cruel and powerful witch she was. However, before Colin and Luna could even step out of the alcove, something or someone blurred past them and grabbed Stormy, and before she could react she was dragged inside the castle.

As the blur stopped, Colin finally realized what just happened. In front of them was Rosaline with slight burns on her body because of the sunlight, she was holding a surprised Stormy about to break her neck. But as soon as Rosaline slowed down because of her burns, Stormy recovered from her shock and blasted Rosaline with something silvery white. Rosaline still recovering from her sunburn wounds staggered back and Colin saw a shimmering silvery liquid on Rosaline's body, burning her harsher than the sun. She winced and Colin stepped forward.

"Princess Rosaline!" Colin looked worried, about to jump in to help Rosaline but she just glanced at him and shook her head.

"I'm fine, Colin," Rosaline replied before turning her attention back to Stormy and shaking off the silver liquid, though the burns on her body remained. "I'm used to this kind of treacherous weapons and spells from these wizards and witches."

"Treacherous? Huh," Stormy scoffed and shot some more liquid silver at Rosaline, which she dodged. "Your kind already have a lot of advantage being the monsters you are. We are just evening you out with some of our creations."

"True. We are superior beings," Rosaline said as the two women started to move sideways and circle. The sliver and sunlight had decreased Rosaline's speed, so she needed time to recover. "But I wonder what qualifies as monsters in your world. Someone who drinks human blood to enhance their powers or someone who tries to brutally kill a mother in front of her child."

"You failed as a mother if your child was out on the battlefield with you," Stormy said blasting a wave of sharp glass at Rosaline.

"I would agree with you . . . if only it wasn't your kind that ambushed us . . . or it wasn't your friend, who pretended to love and marry a woman just to get ancient secrets out of her because your master said so," Rosaline taunted, calmly dodging all of Stormy's attack and Colin realized that Rosaline was just delaying Stormy from helping Maligno or harming Chris in any sense.

"Our master is far more visionary than you short-sighted monsters," Stormy retorted looking at Rosaline with anger and disgust.

But Rosaline only smirked.

"Your master is a just thief, who steals the life of others."

"How dare you?" Stormy attacked Rosaline with far more ferocity than before as she also seemed to understand what Rosaline was trying to do.

Stormy sent wave after wave of that liquid silver and glass shreds. Rosaline dodged, ducked, and jumped out of the way faster than any human. But as she went to attack Stormy, one of the glass shreds grazed Roslaine's shoulder and she winced. Looking down she realized there weren't any ordinary glass shreds but all the pieces of glass were covered in some sort of poison that affected vampires as the place the shred had grazed was starting to turn blue.

"This wasn't in any of our books, you created it with the knowledge you had about us," Rosaline looked at Stormy, almost impressed.

"Christina Norton is not the only one good at creating new spells and portions," Stormy scowled. "I am determined to finish of your kind, so that master can live without worrying about you monsters attacking him any given moment."

"End our kind?" Rosaline almost laughed as she looked down at the blue poison slowly spreading through her shoulder. "It's a powerful poison . . . but not enough to kill a Dragozera. I am the successor of a goddess, darling. Show some respect."
