Harry Potter and the Fortunate Queen

“You will hear many of his Death Eaters claiming that they are in his confidence, that they alone are close to him, even understand him. They are deluded. Lord Voldemort has never had a friend, nor do I believe that he has ever wanted one,” Dumbledore told Harry Potter with absolute certainty. But what if Voldemort did have a friend? Not just a friend but the friend? A millennia-old wizard, who learned the secret of Hogwarts from the great Four founders, and had his own goals to take over the world? To stop that ancient wizard, an ancient power is called upon . . . in the form of a girl. A Muggle-born at that. Christina Norton has powers beyond anyone's imagination but she is too caught up in the Chosen One Harry Potter's life and catastrophes. But as she starts to uncover the plans of Voldemort, she realizes someone else is working with him. Someone who wants her dead. Why? She doesn't know. She just knows she has to save her loved ones and Hogwarts from Malgino and for that she is ready to go to the end of the world. And fight whoever comes in her way. Warning: It was my first book, so the first volume is going to be a bumpy ride. Things start to change at the end of the second volume, so if you can hang in there till then, welcome. Disclaimer: I neither own the original Harry Potter book series (I mean y'all already know that but still) nor the book cover (I guess I edited it but it doesn't count). New Notice

Chris was a hero in the Gryffindor common room that night; daringly, Fred and George went to the kitchen and brought food and juices to celebrate. The celebration when 'til midnight and Chris went to be smiling.

"Did you see that?" whispered Colin to Chris, as they walked towards the Great Hall, next morning.

"I did," replied Chris, looking at a fifth-year Slytherin, who pretended to be listening to a painting.

"They are following us," said Ginny angrily.

"Let them," Chris shrugged.

They walked down to the entrance hall and Chris saw Jason. Without waiting, without saying anything she skipped the last few marble stairs and ran towards him. Jason looked up surprised just before Chris crashed into him. She threw her arms around him and Jason held her tight by the waist as Chris' lips landed on his.

Ginny and Colin laughed, a few first, second years scurried away with red faces but Chris didn't care. Maybe it was selfish, she thought, but she was so so happy that Jason helped her to do something, something which was important to her. He cared and that's all she needed.

Finally, after several long moments, they broke apart and Jason laughed.

"What was that?" He asked.

"Thank you," breathed Chris. "I know I can be unbearable sometimes, I do stupid things, I say weird things. Honestly, I know I overthink and made things completed and I seem selfish sometimes but I —"

"Chris! Chris! Chris!" Jason stopped her rambling. "It's fine. Our talk last time got me thinking if I really care about you or not and I realized —"

"You realized?" Chris' eyes widened.

"I realized that I love you," Jason smirked. "I really really do. So after I realized that it was easy to do something for you and the people you care about. Though trust me, Dobby was happy to go even before I told him he —"

Chris wasn't listening. She had stopped listening after Jason's love confession. She felt giddy with happiness and pulled him for another passionate kiss.

"That was a show you put up there," Hermione said giggling as Chris sat on the Gryffindor table.

"I had to," Chris laughed. "After he said he loves me —"

"He said that? Really?" asked Ginny, eyes round with astonishment.

"He did," Chris felt herself blushing.

"Well, something good came out from a horrible incident," said Hermione. "I'm glad for you."

"Thanks."

"Where is Harry?" Colin asked.

"Umbridge called him," said Hermione. "I'm sure it's nothing good."

"Have you seen they are spying on us?" Ron said slightly glancing at the Slytherin table.

"Yes, we saw that," said Ginny. "I just want to know who sold us out."

"Me too, I thought our jinxs will work," said Hermione.

"Oh, they did."

Luna squeezed herself between Chris and Colin.

"What do mean, Luna?" Colin asked

"I meant Chris and Hermione's jinx worked," said Luna calmly. "You won't believe who is in the hospital wing, right now."

"Who?" Ginny, Hermione and Ron said.

"Smith?" Chris guessed.

"Cho Chang," Luna sighed.

"Wait, what?"

"Yes," Luna grimaced. "Her best friend Marietta Edgecombe insisted her to tell why a few particular Ravenclaws left the tower so frequently?"

"And she told her?" Ginny said outraged.

"Yes, she did, she told her about the place but as soon as she uttered "D. A." Chris' curse worked and she got tongue-tied. But when Cho still tried to talk, Hermione's purple pustules showed up all over her face."

"And Marietta Edgecombe ran straight to Umbridge," said Hermione hatefully. "She was her secret informant."

"That's why Cho didn't show up last night," said Ron.

"But how did you know so much, Luna?" Chris asked.

"Terry Boot got all out from her last night when she talked nervously and looked shocked to see us out of trouble," said Luna. "But don't worry, I erased her memories."

"You did what?" asked Hermione.

"We're good at memory charms, Hermione," said Luna pointing at Colin, Ginny and Chris. "Comes handy for this kind of situations."

"That's — that's amazing," said Hermione looking shocked and impressed.

As the day dragged on, Chris didn't feel so much happy. Cedric looked very depressed at his girlfriend's betrayal ("Well obviously, no one expected her to this after Cedric went through so much," said Ernie Macmillan). Fred and Angelina had a big fight and they almost broke up (according to Ginny). Then Harry told them that Umbridge had called him to question about the meetings, obviously, he didn't say anything but the suspicious part was she offered him tea before questioning ("I bet, there was truth serum in it," said Hermione. "Good thing you didn't drink, Harry."), but Cho wasn't that lucky, Umbridge gave her the truth serum and without knowing she drank. Because next morning, they heard that Dumbledore had attacked Umbridge and few Aurors in the hospital wing and took off.

"What do you mean Dumbledore attacked her?" asked Ginny to a portrait, who was telling the story very enthusiastically.

"When Dumbledore realized that she had put truth serum on that Ravenclaw girl, he went to stop her but Umbridge refused to stop," sighed the portrait wizard. "He used magic to stop him, but the Aurors said that he attacked the high Inquisitor and tried to seize him so he left."

"That's really stupid," said Chris. "It's clear that he was framed."

"Everything the ministry does is stupid," said Luna.

"But Hogwarts without Dumbledore?" Chris was more shocked than she led on. She tried to look calm but Dumbledore's departure had shaken her from inside.

On the way, she saw the new notice and her blood boiled with anger.
