Chapter 2: Raon Malfoy (2)

-Timeskip 5 years- 5 june 1985

I am now 5 years old and have completely adapted to my life as a Malfoy, not going to lie, they have been very boring for a number of reasons, at least i was able to understand this world a bit more.

I have been reading for 4 months now, before that i found out that my brain still couldn't process written information clearly, when i tried more often than not my head began aching redirecting my attention to pictures or symbols. I then tried to focus my attention on magic, and if i would be able to sense my magic core or something similar but without luck.

When i asked my new mom about it she answered with a chuckle ''silly you, there is a reason why we dont give wands to kids, apart from being very dangerous your body needs to accumulate the magic of the world before slowly starting to form a core with it; only when the core is fully formed will you be able to sense it and use magic with it, a process that normally ends at 7-8 years old. However if under emotional stress even in the state of being half formed your core will be able to give you some magic to use, but it is still chaotic and dangerous''

Seeing me very interested in the topic she decided it was time for the finishing blow that promptly made me roll my eyes inwardly ''Since you are a pureblood your magic core will form much faster thanks to the hard work of our ancestors that decided to keep our bloodline as clean as possible and...'' i stopped listening at this point, figures... it feels like that if they dont try to indoctrinate me every day with their pureshit propaganda they are gonna die the next or something...

Dont get me wrong my family really took good care of me these years and i have grown to like them a lot, BUT PLEASE spare me from that purity stuff! Needless to say they noticed my rejection towards all that stuff and they were not happy with it, it is not like they stopped loving me or something, they just started loving Draco more probably trying to make me see all the benefits of embracing the ''cult'' like more money and extra love.... pretty underhanded to do this at such a young age but i started complying a bit, not because i agree but because i had the luck of coming from a rich family and im no idiot such idiot to let all these benefit fly away.

Draco is.... well.... DRACO, he tries to impress daddy and get his recognition every occasion possible, a bit more and he would be willing to go from door to door to talk about our lord and saviour Lord Baldymort with puppy dog eyes... a thought that still makes me chuckle sometimes. Ah right he cought the young master disease, he couldn't stop thinking everyone is below him but as of late thanks to mother he seems to have calmed down a bit.

In these four months of being able to read i started learning hand gestures for when i will get a wand and here i noticed something cool: skipping the theoretical knowledge of each spell i found out that hand movements actually follow a logical pattern! My theory in this topic (which is still very lacking) is that all spells that turn things back into their original state have in a way or another a counterclockwise gesture as if turning back time, while most of the spells (charms) that alter the present state of an object have a clockwise gesture as if altering the future state of an object, which is a bit different from canon but still enlightening.

I also found out that most attack spells have in a way or another mostly lines indicating the will to cut or to destroy, even avada kedavra (which i was able to take a peek of courtesy of Malfoys) uses a series of lines as hand gesture (gotta say it is a pretty complicated spell). This whole spell ordeal is to be further investigated when i will actually be able to use magic, right now i think a spell works like this: intent --> hand movements --> incantation (that i believe lets you focus more on intent while hand movs. focuses on bettering your control) --> actual release of magic

I have also started studying the whole first year curriculum but in four months i cant do that much although it is very interesting and i find it very easy to concentrate on the books.

While reading i get interrupted by a knock on the door and a scaredy voice shortly after ''young master Raon, Master Lucius wants everyone present for lunch today as he got an announcement to make''

I instantly know who he is and with a soft voice i answer '' thanks for having informed me Dobby, tell father im coming right away'' i have been trying to be nice to the elves in the house, they seem to like me alot for it making it easier to make them do stuff for me... Im not heartless i always reward them fortheir work, i dont like the conditions they live in and i will try to change that someday, but now is not the time.

We were all eating happily our luxurious food on the table when suddendly my conversation with mom about magic was interrupted by Lucius '' So.. today is our dear twins birthday and as per tradition we will invite the most prominent families tonight to have a party, it is a good time to make acquitance with your peers that will go to hogwarts with you, i want everything to be perfect tonight so prepare like you should, this is all you are dismissed''

Draco with a smile stand up straight like a spring that has finally been released after sustaining too much tension and says ''YES FATHER!'' after a light chuckle by both me and mother i slowly stand up as well and in a much softer voice i repeat '' yes father'' after which i go back to my room to keep reading from where i left off.

A/N

The years before hogwarts will be shortened in the next chapter, we will also see a new face not present in the books and will be my very first OC

Again this ch is mostly info dump about our guy, his family, and his findings about magic

It is clear that magic isnt as simple as in the HP world, and that even with a head start and knowledge of the future he wont be god after the first year in hogwarts, i want fights to be challenging and exciting and if i make an op mc right off the bat i will have to increase the difficulty of bosses and the after hogwarts story ( yes you read right, told ya this story in my mind is massive ahahah) and that makes no sense.

I promise to have more dialogues in the future or i should just make chapters longer mmh... we will see
