Hideout!

{28th June 1993}

{Gringotts Wizarding Bank, Diagon alley, London}

{1:09 PM}

"What are the protections already there that are on the house and what can I add? What about the community, how many people live there?" I asked.

"Well, the house is quite isolated and away from the main village that's why it has been unsold even though it is in one of the most popular wizarding colonies in England outside of Godric's Hollow." the goblin worked through some paperwork before finding a list of wards placed on the house and slid it towards me.

{Muggle Repelling Ward}

{Intruder Alert Ward}

{Intent Ward}

{Ward Stone Set up with stored spells schemes{Untracable}- Bone-breaking hex, The Blinding Curse, Cutting curse, Buldegoning hex.}

{Ley Line Connected- Level 3 Authorized by the Ministry.}

"There are multiple wards already set up more than you would ever need, there are multiple stored spell schemes in the ward stone along with the basic package of wards, the House is untraceable but plottable, it is connected to the Ley Line and thus can support heavier wards if you ever want to upgrade the security." He picked up another folder and said, "That village is located in the valley between two mountains and it is rumored that some people have seen Wolves in the jungles and thus people are afraid to live there, thus the reduced price, and level 3 authorization by the ministry. If you don't like it there is another suitable house but it is in the middle of the community."

'distant location, nobody around, wards setup, untraceable... looks like a good starting point, I would need a potions lab installed and maybe ask if the ley line would support the Fidilus charm... wait'

I was about to ask the goblin about the Fidilius charm when a question arose, 'Is Fidilius even Legal? Even if a person's soul could keep just one secret, as mentioned in the books, that's potentially one house someone can steal without anyone knowing? It should be illegal right? otherwise, I could just cast it on an empty house that I find that has no protection a voila everyone would forget it existed?'

Deciding to shelf that question unless I know more about the spell I sat there for a few seconds just staring at the parchment containing the name of the wards.

"Would you like to look at another one?" The goblin asked obviously irritated by my silence.

"No this will do, How much does it cost?"

"7000 Galleons" The goblin mentioned and I hissed at the price.

'That's almost half of my current savings gone, I need to be careful with the money, I still need a lot of Potion ingredients to create and modify potions.'

"Alright, now I noticed deep into the Ledger that the Selwyn house receives quite a large amount of Galleons yearly for creation of the Beautification Potion. How does that work? And how do I apply for patents?" I asked looking back to make sure Alex and Rose are okay, they looked out of place as they whispered amongst themselves.

"All the Beautification potion sold anywhere, 25% of the Profits are automatically deducted accordingly from the shop's account when they provide their Inventory. All the shops in ICW's allied countries are required to maintain an Inventory. You can apply for a patent with the Patent office in the Ministry but I would advise against it if it is a modified potion and not a new one. If it is a new potion, it would be prudent you apply for the patent through Gringotts who would then file the Potion with the ICW's patent office thus providing an updated potion's recipe to all the shop's across the world with its improvements verified by the Potion master's employed by the ICW."

'That does sound more profitable, but why not apply a new potion with the same effect.'

I voiced my question and the goblin answered, "because then the ICW would take at least a year of testing to make sure there are no side effects and sometimes even more than a year. In England, on the other hand, because you are an heir to Selwyn estate and have a seat in the Winzamont, you can shorten this year-long testing period, to a month at most before you are either awarded the Patent or the Potion is declared either dark or Illegal."

I wanted to ask more questions but the Goblin cut me off, "There are books that would certainly be more helpful than wasting my time...Heir Selwyn." he finished, emphasizing my title indicating he only answered the previous questions because of my status and now he's done.

'Alright, I really need to find some books on these subjects, Blaise was never interested in selling his recipes but I sure as hell do...'

"Alright, I would like to visit my vault..." I finished as he motioned from his fingers and the wall beside his desk opened and a younger goblin emerged from it.

"Griphook will take you to the Vault... and here," he took the key that Griphook gave him and passed it to me.

"That would be your vault key, as of this moment there are exactly 13000 Galleons in the vault, drained from both of your trust vaults, Heir Selwyn" he finished before Griphook came up and said, "Follow me!"

'Huh! I guess I irritated him a lot, whatever, I'll deal with that later.'

{28th June 1993}

{Apothecary, Diagon Alley, London}

{4:36 PM}

"...and maybe some Gillyweed too." I finished looking as the two people behind the counter went on to fetch my order. I left Alex and Rose back at Sirius's place saying I have to go back home and borrowed some, okay a lot of books from his Library before doing some shopping.

'will NEWT level potions see be enough? It should be to start a little bit, I just need to improve some basic potions so that I could get something of a credit line started. I could just owl order some of the ingredients if I need them urgently, anyway the Floo's connected with Leaky Cauldron so I can drop by anytime.'

I looked at the trunk beside me, one compartment filled with books, while the in the other was the Slytherin locket. It took me an hour of argument before I managed to convince Sirius that hiding both the Locket that we found and the Diadem which I'll smuggle later from Hogwarts is the best decision.

'I don't think I could even touch the locket or try experimenting on it until I read all the Dark arts books that I borrowed, maybe if I can get the locket free before next year I can find the Chamber... no no, Don't plan that far ahead based on a highly distorted timeline, who knows if Quirrell will even be the Professor this year, the timeline is mostly destroyed. I still need to watch out for the DADA instructor, that's the only position that should be changing every year... maybe I should destroy the Diadem, it's not that useful, cannot be hidden, and then the curse on the DADA seat would be broken and we'll have a stable DADA instructor...'

Various plans were running through my head as I watched a set of Ingredients placed in front of me.

'Alright time for some books and experiments.'
