18 First Experimental Potion! (Part-2)

"...Well I wasn't expecting you back here so soon Mr. Selwyn. Got any more questions?" The Goblin sneered.

'Well fuck you too! as soon as I get some money and control over my assets this cheeky...' I controlled my emotions before sliding towards him the pros and cons page about the experimental boil cure potion. The goblin sneered again before picking up the paper and starting to read it.

'Was that even a sneer? According to goblin's aesthetics that could be considered a smile.'

"...This is quite a turn of events..." The goblin muttered a few things before pulling out some documents and also waving his arms as Griphook came into the room from the same wall.

The goblin growled something in Gobbledegook, as I debated the pros and cons of learning to at least understand the language so that I can at least figure out what they are saying or conspiring, Bloodfang spoke, "Have you tested the potion more than once?" he grunted, I could see the gleam in his eyes as he regarded me with at least some respect now, the sneer was replaced with a scowl.

I pulled out the vial with very little cream in it and slid it towards the goblin as I said, "At least 100 times." I lied easily, knowing that the knowledge came from the system so it should be good enough.

Bloodfang nodded as Griphook came back with another goblin in tow who was carrying a large folder, "Nagnok this is Heir Selwyn, Heir Selwyn this is Nagnok, he keeps track of most of the inventory statistics in all the ICW countries."

I understood the goblin's intentions and nodded to the new goblin, this one looked a little younger but not nearly as green as Griphook.

The Goblin this time didn't converse in Gobbledegook but instead, Bloodfan asked, "Nagnok, how much money did various apothecary make the last term from the Boil-cure Potion?" Blood fang seemed excited, as he spoke in English and not Gobbledegook I decided to put aside my grudge for a second as he at least considered my presence and my recipe this time.

Nagnok grunted before placing the folder on the edge of the desk before flipping it, "56,484 Galleons."

Bloofang looked intrigued and said, "that would make the amount you can earn with this recipe around, "14,121 galleons..." Bloodfang muttered, he still seemed quite excited as he was already going through the calculations but I stopped him from continuing his thought process.

"No, it won't be that exact number." I said getting an intrigued eyebrow from the two of them, "First the cost of the product is less so the profit would be higher even if we reduce the selling price. Second, the potion is more appealing because of its smell and texture so it could become the mainstream easily, that means all the people who would brew the potion at home, won't necessarily do that now as buying the readymade potion is much cheaper and lasts quite a long time so just buying a cream bottle," I pointed to the bottle as it easily floated into the air. Both the older goblins restrained their expressions but Griphook's eyes widened at my casual display of wandless magic.

'I need them to know not to mess with me, it's better to have me as an ally than an enemy.'

"Plus, I was thinking along a different line," I suggested as Bloodfang who nodded at me to continue, "I wanted to open a shop in Diagon Alley and not allow anyone else to brew the potion while applying for an ICW patent. Can this be done?" I asked as both of the older goblin's frowned.

"I would advise against it, yes you would be able to tap into the 100,000 costumers in Magical Britain but they won't earn you much money, you possibly won't even be able to pay the rent of the shop in Diagon Alley, it can be done if you don't allow it, most of the ICW shops won't be able to brew the potion, but some of them will be able to bypass their oaths somehow and your recipe will be available in the black market, but that market is very small and exclusive so that doesn't matter. My point is you won't be able to reach the whole magical population unless you open shops in various countries, which you don't have the budget to do and isn't feasible for just a Boil cure potion." Bloodfang tried to persuade me.

"I know what you mean, but what if I tell you I have around 20 more experimental potions which have almost the same advantages as the Boil cure potion..." I finished and this time even the Senior goblin's looked stunned.

'Developing a potion or even improving it is not an easy task, most of the people barely could brew some easy potions, experimenting and improving potion's is not that easy, even Snape the genius Potioneer has experimented and improved many potions but they merely reduce the time required and manipulate the recipe to reach the perfect result as intended for the potion, not improve the effect of the potion.'

My mind flashed at the last two potion's that Blaise was improving as I sat forward in anticipation and continued, "What I want to do is create a brand with the help of exclusive potions in Britain, built a reputation as a highly profitable and respectable business, that is trying to improve the magical society. I was thinking of starting this with the simplest of temptation that anyone has, that would be their appearance. So filing a patent for a simple boils cure potion along with a modified Beauitifying potion, and a modified Sleekeazy's Hair Potion should give us a starting line." I finished as both of the senior goblins took a serious look. They both could see the potential for this business like any other as it could take the wizarding world by storm if a shop chain with 20 exclusive potions could be opened in multiple countries.

"You aim to completely crush in-house potion production?" Bloodfang asked amazed.

I shook my head no, "No, I just need a place to start and a voice in the international market!"

'And I have the perfect potion for it' My mind flashed to the last potion on the notebook.
