Chapter 48 - Bane Of Acromantulas

Felix stopped for a moment.

"Instead of going back to Hogwarts, I can spend my time here to upgrade my combat skills."

With these thoughts and a smile on his face, Felix stopped and turned to face the depths of the Forbidden Forest.

Felix already has a target in his mind.

He had been walking for hours when he came across a group of Acromantulas, spider-like creatures that were as large as a man.

"Oh, I was looking for you guys; it seems like I don't need to look any longer."

Without hesitation, Felix prepared to fight. He took a deep breath and recited the hermetic law of magic inside his mind, focusing his energy on his body. He closed his eyes and took another deep breath, centering his mind and preparing for the battle ahead.

As he opened his eyes, he could see the acromantulas coming towards him. Felix raised his hand and uttered a single word: "Incarcerous!" Instantly, ropes flew from his hand and bound the legs of the closest Acromantula, causing it to fall to the ground.

As the other creatures closed in, Felix leaped into the air, landing with a roll and jumping back up to his feet. He raised his other hand and spoke a second word, "Confringo!" A burst of fire exploded from his hand, engulfing another acromantula and causing it to screech in pain.

"This huge, fried spider does not smell as I expected."

The remaining Acromantula charged toward Felix, its razor-sharp legs ready to strike. Felix focused all his energy on his right hand, and a wicked smile manifested on his face. "Bombaarda Maxima!" he shouted, as a powerful wave of energy burst from his hand.

"Booooooooooooooom"

The explosion was enough, as the pieces of Acromantula spread like death without understanding what happened.

Panting heavily, Felix looked around at the fallen creatures, his eyes blazing with the intensity of the battle. He had defeated the Acromantulas with no wand, relying solely on his knowledge of magic and his strength of will. He knew that he had taken a step closer to mastering the magic of this world with the help of hermetic magic.

Felix, who was about to relax his guards, looked at the back of himself and noticed more Acromantulas had arrived to take revenge.

Felix took a deep breath as he faced the group of acromantulas, their many legs scraping across the forest floor. He knew he had to be quick and precise to defeat them. Felix began to recite the Hermetic incantations in his mind as he focused his energy on his palms.

"This time their number is higher, but it is even better for me!"

He started with the first offensive spell, "Incendio!" Flames shot out of Felix's hands, engulfing the first group of Acromantulas. They screeched and backed away from the fire, but Felix knew it wouldn't be enough to defeat them all.

He quickly followed with his second spell, "Bombarda!" A small explosion blasted out of Felix's hands, pulverizing the group of Acromantulas that were closing in on him.

"Screetch!!"

The acromantulas being killed one by one were getting angry as they looked at Felix.

Felix laughed, and then this time he did not use any spells; he just used his pure magic to cast a frost aura, similar to master-level wizards who can change the atmosphere with just their will.
