Chapter 144

Just before the battle would begin giants and Dementors could be seeming wondering just outside of the barrier that Professor McGonagall and the other professors had put up, Most of the Hogwarts army was on edge at the sight of Dementors.

It wasn't all bad as the twins somehow found a way to lighten the mood at the cost of some nervous students, the twins still didn't give up on asking Charley about Dragons and if they are coming to help roast some death eaters but sadly no Dragons would be joining the fight.

As the sun was setting and the death eater started to come out of the forbidden forest, Edwin went to collect Harry as their plan is to have him fight Voldemort and win (Edwin hopes he'll die) while he's alone at the camp.

Edwin approached a large group of people in the chamber discussing who would go with them, Edwin didn't have a say in it as he is already going so he just took a seat near Rain, who was cleaning her paws.

Looking at her a grin grew on Edwin's face" Rain I have a mission for you"

"Meow" Rain answers looking at Edwin.

"There is an animagus that might try to escape when this is all over, I want you to deal with him If so," Edwin said petting Rain" he will become a nice fat rat though I wouldn't recommend eating him"

"Edwin I want you to be careful and listen to your grandfather," Ivan said giving him a hug but before Edwin could say something Ivan was already walking away.

"Take care" Edwin shouted out and Ivan glanced back with a smirk.

The team that would be going into the death eater's camp consists of, Harry, Edwin, Asen, and Snape. Sirius and Remus wanted to go with Harry but they couldn't as the invisibility cloak couldn't hold that many people.

As the sunset and the twilight glow was disappearing Death eaters and snatchers came out of the forest, they were followed by Giants and Dementors; they each watched and waited for the signal to attack.

On the field, Bellatrix walked forwards and stood in front" Attack" Bellatrix shouted.

A group of Snatchers quickly took off running headfirst into the barrier, as soon as they hit the boundary of Hogwarts a blue glow appeared around Hogwarts blocking the snatchers and killing them, the charge to Hogwarts ground immediately came to a stop.

Back down in the chamber, just before Edwin would leave Isabella came to see him off "you have to come back" Isabella said watching Edwin leaving through the secret entrance to the black lake.

"I will" Edwin replied with a smile.

"Is that a future Vaclav" Asen said hitting Edwin with his elbow.

Edwin didn't say anything as used the bubblehead charm and dove into the lake, the group couldn't use the gillyweed that Is stored there due to the time it takes to wear off.

Everyone quickly swam to the top of the lake where the merfolk was wearing coral armor and was watching the death eater who was trying to enter Hogwarts from there," they are already here" Snape stated as the death eaters continued to attack the barrier.

"Should we use the cloak?" Harry asked lifting Hermione's Handbag up.

"Not as yet" Edwin stated as he turned into his cat form swimming towards the few death eaters.

"Murcus" Snape shouted drawing the merfolk attention" we need a distraction"

With that said the merfolk started to play a sweet lullaby for the death eaters, the lullaby was soft and gently it would have made anyone sleepy or clam in another situation, but it did nothing for the death eaters as they just ignored the merfolk and continue attacking.

Little did they know that the lullaby was a distraction for some mermaids to swim closer when they reached close enough the mermaids jumped several feet out of the water and attack the death eaters with their spear or tail.

Edwin who was still not there was trying to reach but suddenly he was picked up by Murcus and was carried to the edge" you should leave this area to us" Murcus said with pride in her voice" No enemy of Hogwarts shall pass"

"I believe so" Edwin responded and waited for everyone else, after they arrived the cloak was put as they sneaked into the forest.

Back at Hogwarts Professor McGonagall had already animated the statues to act as the vanguard against the will of the giants who wanted to charge headfirst into battle; the only reason they didn't is because of one of the deal they made to start their clan in the forbidden forest.

"The barrier will soon fall," Professor McGonagall said quietly using the walking man" everyone you know your job"

At the Astronomy Tower, the students that can fly a broom half-decent were there and so were the twins, Charley and a few first years that would help resupply bombs, they were also preparing for when the barrier would fall.

"Charley," The twins said as they each slapped one side of his shoulder" the Legendary Charley Weasley takes up the broom again, but not as a seeker, a prankster dropping dung bombs"

The kitchen was also busy, not getting food ready but was preparing knives, frying pan and whatever could be used as weapons, the house-elves were being led by Luna who planned to use their ability to apparat at will to give Death eaters presents.

the Grand hall was already prepared to welcome the Death eaters with large rocks and stone all over providing cover for the students, entering the grand hall was Filch armed with a crossbow and a bag of bolts he made his way to Cedrick who looked at him with a shocked expression.

"Filch, you don't have to be here," Cedrick said.

Filch gave Cedrick a grunt before saying" it's my home too, and I'll be dammed if they're going to take it away"

Above the Filch was peeves holding a Morningstar, Peeves had a wicked grin on his face as float around the hall waiting for the death eater" just let em try I'll give em it, ain't that right Lonny Lupin " Peeves shouted, since Peeves isn't a Ghost he could hold items and interact with people he decided to join the fight.
