HARMONY 1

Rebekah is just a normal human girl with a life changing past. Her experiences made her insecure until she met Seth and he showed her love beyond colour but before that, there was Jordan, your typical bad boy who is on a mission to "prove a point" but before this bad boy, was an innocent boy who just wanted to be treated the same. And his story is not over. In conclusion, the past plays an important role in our future. Author's note: Sometimes it's better to say than to regret not saying it. Life is all about taking risks, but always remember you can't force someone to love you, love is natural. If you love someone, tell them before it's too late, do not be afraid of rejection because if they don't feel the same way, then you know and you will move on than to be in love alone. And if you don't tell them they'll never know and you will have to watch them with someone else when you could've created something magical.

SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

Rᴇʙᴇᴋᴀʜ'ᴤ ᴘᴏɪɴᴛ ᴏғ ᴠɪᴇᴡ:

I'm just laying on my mom's bed listening as she's seated on the bed resting her back on the pillows and reading her favourite book. After that delicious macaroni and cheese with BBQ ribs dinner, I couldn't think of anything else better to do. Twinkle has already cuddled up on the blanket fast asleep.

"You know…" she stops reading and puts the book on the bed,

"What?" I ask

"I think you should start seeing people, I mean… you're not getting any younger, Rebekah" she says,

"Mom…" I rub my eyes with my right hand, "I'm not interested in dating," I say.

My whole life I always felt like my heart belongs to someone else, weird if you ask me.

"Oh come on, I want to introduce you to someone later tomorrow" she says while smiling at me.

"I don't-"

"Come on you are going to like him," she interjects

"him? It's a he!?" I out my hand over my face

"Don't worry," she says but I'm still uncertain.

"I think you should go to bed, you have school tomorrow," she reminds me

"Oh, I almost forgot, goodnight Mom," I say,

"goodnight sweetie," she says as I pick Twinkle up in my arms and I head out of her room.

After walking up the stairs, I turn left and enter into my room. I switch on the light on the wall, put twinkle in his small bed at the corner opposite my dressing table and the window side. That's when I start to feel the slight breeze coming from the window. I down to it, but as I'm about to touch the window with my left hand, it just closes by its self. I immediately move away from it, then I spin around in fear looking at the door. If it's a prank, it's not funny.

"Harmony," calls a soft, female disembodied voice

"Who are you?" I start to tremble as I look around the room in fear.

"Harmony, it's Melody" it proceeds

"please leave me alone, I don't know you," I beg with fear in my voice—but no reply.

"Hello…" I say to make sure if it's still there. I run to my bed and get in the blanket.

"am going crazy? What just happened? I put the blanket over my head and my breathing finally slows down.

That couldn't have been real, it must have all been happening in my head, maybe I should see a psychologist. I think for a moment.

Nah, I should just sleep, I didn't sleep well last night, maybe that's why.

But as I'm about to close my eyes, I remember there's a possibility that castle will appear again.

Maybe if I think of something else and forget the castle and what just happened…then maybe it won't appear.

I close my eyes and imagine a beautiful garden with butterflies and waterfalls, a beautiful paradise filled with romance and my dream guy with me, hand in hand

It does not take long for me to fall asleep, I'm already exhausted. I end up dream of my friends and I doing some shoe shopping and having fun. I then spot this cute guy on the man's clothing side, I slowly walk there, leaving my friends behind. I look for him, but I don't find him.

"Hey," a voice say and I immediately turn around, but all I see when I turn, is the same place, the castle. I turn back again around and the shop is no longer there, just a dead land, brutally damaged land and the fountain. I turn back around to the castle, three statues appear in front of me and I fall back in fright.

"There's a man and woman with crowns on their heads and there's a child that's probably 6 years old.

I get up, and when I turn around I see people fighting, shooting fire, lightning and all kind of things out of their hands at each other. It's a whole big war going on.

There's a man in the sky with pure white hair and lightning flashes from his hands to his opponent. The people are running and screaming, but they go right through me.

" are they ghosts or something?"

I finally notice the other group of fighters disappear, the man with white hair flies down and eight other warrior-dressed people come to him, there are five man and four women.

"What do we do now?" A tiger looking woman asks the thunder man and I walk closer to listen.

"We have to use all our power and the power of the guardian necklace to slow down the spread of death in the tree, it's the only way until we can figure out how to solve this," says the thunder man and the rest of them nod in agreement. They all walk through me and head towards the castle.

Two male children of about seven to nine years old come running to the thunder man from behind the castle.

"Where's Harmony?" asks the child with neck-length hair and they all look around

"She was right here," says the woman with a yellow wooden staff in her hand that opens wide at the top ending in curly, small branches allowing a bright, yellow light to sit on top and its held tight by the branches.

That's when I snap out of the dream.

"When are these dreams going to leave me alone?" I whisper as I sit up on my bed in wonder and slide my hair to the back.

Men with lightning? Imagine how ridiculous that would sound like to the psychologist,. I exhale while shaking my head.

I stretch my hand over to where I left my phone and check the time. For what seemed like a twenty minute dream, it's 6 am now. I'll just go take a shower and make breakfast.

I have barely slept for two days now,

"what wrong did I do to anyone?" I shake my head in confusion as I effortlessly remove my blanket, drag myself out of the room and head to the right, where the bathroom is.

I heard If you have a hot morning shower, the warmth can make you feel more sleepy, so I've decided to take a cold shower.

I taking deep breaths to prepare myself. I close my eyes and get myself mentally ready for a shock. I walk into the shower standing in the middle, I turn the water on to a cold temperature— but not too cold. As my body is exposed to the cold water, I start to gasp for air.

After the shower, I'm still a little cold but my eyes feel less dry now. I make my way to the closet and pick out whatever is comfortable I'm not in the mood to look for clothes. I get dressed in my casual long sleeve brown top tucked into a high waisted blue jean and some grey takkies. I part my hair in the middle, brush it to the back and tie it into a ponytail. After grabbing my bag, I make my way downstairs to prepare breakfast. I enter the kitchen and go straight to gathering the ingredients for scrambled eggs with ripped chives.

I then I hear footsteps in the house getting closer and closer. I turn around.

"Mom," I smile

She looks past me to the ingredients on the kitchen counter.

"You are making breakfast? " she asks

"Yes, I woke up early today" I answer

"Oh, that's unusual," she says, "come, let me help you" she walks in my direction and I give way for her.

"What are we making?" she inquires

"scrambled eggs with ripped chives,

"That's nice," she smiles at me, "you go sit down, I'll make it," she offers, so I walk to sit by the dining table and quietly watch her as she starts to cook. I'm still thinking about whether I should tell her or not but maybe I should, she might have a good explanation.

"Mom, there's something I want to tell you,"

" what is it?" she asks with her eyes focused on the pan

" I've been having frequent dreams of these people, it's a man; woman and there's a child next to them but they are all frozen on one place. Then there's this man that shoots lightning out of his hands and so many other people like him," I explain

"Are you sure you weren't watching superhero movies last night?"

"I didn't, I barely watched any movies this week,"

"Oh, and when did it all start?" she asks

"A day ago, I feel like I know them," I respond and she pauses for a moment like what I said triggered something in her.

"Are you okay?" I ask her,

"I'm fine" she goes back to the cooking, "it's probably nothing serious,"

"yeah, your right," I give a slight smile.

"Don't forget to day there's no music class," she reminds me

"yeah, I know,"

How I wish we would have my singing classes every day right now. The next class is tomorrow and the last is on Friday.

I don't feel like meeting this person. I really don't.
