The ceremony of reincarnation commenced with Nuvelia, the goddess of creation, standing before John. "Now, John, to start your character creation, you must first perish," she explained, her voice confident yet with a hint of concern.

John rolled his eyes at the pun, muttering something under his breath. "I guess I'll take this tripping over a rock death scenario. It's one of the free ones and less painful too."

"Excellent choice," Nuvelia said, nodding. "Now, let the reincarnation commence!"

The options were set with the level of comfort that came with it. The death with the most pleasure cost more and the more painful ones cost less.

After a few minutes, John limped back to Nuvelia. He glared at her, his expression furious. "What the hell was that? You said it was an excellent choice, but it was far from it!" he shouted.

Nuvelia raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I tripped over a damn rock, but it turned out to be a landmine and I got blown to bits! That was way more painful than the daredevil stuntman!" John yelled.

Nuvelia chuckled at his misfortune. "Sounds like shrapnels can be a real bummer."

John groaned, "So, what's the deal now?"

"Well," Nuvelia said, "you now have an extra 5,000 life points to use for character creation!"

"How did I get these points?" John asked.

"Your karma determined your life points. Since you were a default character, you received default life points," Nuvelia explained. "Your life points can decrease or increase depending on how you live your life. If it hits 0, Truck-sama will come for you, and you won't get another reincarnation."

John's eyes widened. "Truck-sama?!"

Nuvelia nodded solemnly. "Yes, Truck-sama is the end for those who don't have any life points left."

John then wondered about the other 10,000 life points he had. "What about these additional points? Why do I have them?"

"You died as a baby," Nuvelia said. "And since babies are the purest, bundles of joy in the world, they have double the normal life points. So we added that as a bonus for you."

As John scrolled through the character creation template, he came across a section for choosing which world he wanted to reincarnate to. There were several choices available, ranging from the post-apocalyptic dystopia to the medieval era. John sighed and muttered under his breath, "Of course, the apocalypse is the only free option."

Nuvelia giggled at his comment. "Well, it wouldn't make much sense to charge for it, would it?"
