22 That time a monster from the cardinal world made its appearance
"It's here…"
Said Kai as he looked up ahead.
Everyone's eyes shifted to the direction where Kai was looking at.
A large silver snake made its appearance.
"It's a silver worm…"
Screamed Lyra.
Silver worm, is a massive snake type monster that respawns at the 52 Floor of the dungeon.
"This will not be easy."
Said Hermes as he watches the vanguard group being pushed back.
"Keep your distance, archers wait for an opening and blast the bastard's eyes."
Asfi took command.
Arrows flew sensing the danger the monster used it's massive tail to swat the incoming projectiles, but it didn't account for the arrows coming from its left and right and was unable to deflect everything as one or two arrows hit its eyes.
Losing its eyesight the monster began to rampage, but before it could do more damage the tanks steps forward receiving its attack at the same time pinning its annoying tail.
Successfully pinning the monster down the Astraea Familia children made their move, Alise taking the lead rushed at the monster.
The captain of the Astraea Familia Alise Lovell is engulfed by a crimson aura as she jumps high using her rapier to slash the monster's reverse scales.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.
Feeling it's life being in danger the monster tried to struggle harder but Lyra appeared from the sky like a meteor carrying a massive black shield in hand for her size slammed onto the monster's head its face planted onto the ground.
What happened next is a one-sided slaughter of the poor monster being attacked on all sides unable to retaliate thanks to the efficient teamwork of the party not giving the monster the slightest chance to fight back.
In its last breath the monster let out a loud roar before it turned into dust leaving nothing but a greenish yellow magic stone behind.
"That was tough…"
Lyra muttered as she slumped onto the ground exhausted.
"With my beauty and purity, I can crush any monster in no time." (Alise)
"I don't know exactly what that means, but it's nice that you're always proud of yourself." (Lyra)
"This could've gone much smoother if a certain elf didn't slow us down." (Kaguya)
"Kaguya. You seem to be implying something." (Ryuu)
"Oh, so you've noticed. You've become sharp, at least you've grown in some way and another." (Kaguya)

At this point, everyone was looking at Alise and Lyra's direction, realizing this Lyra stopped speaking, seeing her goddess giving her an ever so gentle smile.
She turned her back, both of her hands on her head and began whistling while slowly walking towards the forested area.

Said Hermes to Kai which the latter utterly ignored as his eyes turned sharp as he looked straight at a certain direction far from their current location.
'Are those dire wolves?'
Kai thought as he looked at the monsters up ahead that releases a somewhat considerable amount of magicules for a supposed weak monster.
At first, he thought that the monsters were nothing but common forest wolves but seeing them behave organized and being able to communicate with each other made him doubt his first assessment.
[Affirmative]
'How is a monster from the cardinal world able to appear here.'

Kai waited in anticipation.

2. Someone in the Danmachi world performed a summoning ritual but it has gone wrong because of the lack of knowledge.

Surprised by the sudden appearance of an unknown assailant the dire wolves look at Kai in caution.
Kai decided to release his aura making the dire wolves grovel to the ground in terror.
"Great one what do we owe the pleasure such as yourself to grace us with your presence."
The guy who seems to be the leader of the dire wolves voice out.
"I am curious as to how you guys appeared in this world."
The dire wolves leader gave Kai a confused look unable to understand a word he said.
"Well you see this is not your home world. This place is a wholly different world from where you came from…"
Kai began to explain to the dire wolves leader, who clearly held a considerable amount of intellect about their situation.
"I thank you for sharing such valuable information, oh great one. Now that you've enlightened me, I did find the surrounding magicules lacking and disgusting."
'He must be referring to the fragmented divine energy in the surroundings being constantly released by the mad Tartarus and corrupted Gaia.'
[Affirmative]
"So can I ask how did you arrived in this world?"
Kai decided to go straight to the point as he began to feel goosebumps being around the dire wolves leader.
The continuous praise and respect the dire wolves leader is giving him is making him cringe.
